Two Guns, I hope tlk sees that boot video.. If one could be found the right size that might work.. I think there is a Norpro or similar spelling boot that can be done that way that is somewhat universal in size. They were 3 months backodered at JCWhitney when I did my boot replacement( back then) so went with the ebay boots..... Great post! collie
 
If ya'll can find it in your heart. Please say a small prayer for my step-son.
He has such a big heart. He just called. Making sure that we were ok, warm, and set up for the night.
I know that don't sound like much. But you see. He is in a Hotel Room. He lost his home to a fire, Five days ago. Loosing everything.
And other than worring about his next step for his family, wife and three children. He is checking in on us.
His insurance company is doing him so well for now. He should have a house to move into Friday. The insurance company is putting his family up in house that will be leased until his gets rebuilt or has another built..... Which he is always welcome to stay here. But he made the decision to stay over by the river. That is ok, what ever makes him feel comfort.
He has had so much support from the community. Insurance people sent somebody in just about instantly. Making sure they all had new clothes and that they had spending money for food, fuel and other thngs that are needed.

He sure has had it ruff the last few years.
Remember a few years ago the DeepWater Horizon Explosion. Which took eleven lives. He just left out on a helicopter just a matter of minutes before the accident happen. It was hours before we ever found out that he even left the rig. Like to have drove us crazy until we found out the heli landed and he was on it. Just so happen, they sent in relief men in early and they let them leave the rig. Even till this day, they don't know why the others showed up early. God knows why....

His home was lost some sort of electrical something. That is what the fire investigator stated today. Started in the 9 month old babies room in the back of the home. They were all gone at the time of the fire. He was at Doctors office getting a check up for work. And his wife and children was up in town.

So, please, say a small prayer for him. He is a great father and family man.

20 below zero (farenheit) this morning at 7:00am when the Poodle and I walked to the end of the laneway to pick up the morning paper. Poodle says "lets wait another month before getting a hair trim". Not a mosquito to be found anywhere.

What are you wearing on your feet that's making them so cold? You do want to avoid cotton socks if at all possible. Wool is best and synthetics are decent. I was out yesterday in sneakers at about 20° but after standing on the cold concrete, I switched out the shoes for some winter boots.

It's about -10° right now but will warm up into the 20's today.

Just as HE is with you Jamie, it is obvious that that covenant of Grace that HE has with you, is spread through YOU to your family. It just totallly amazes me time and time again of how His Grace protects and nourishes us. For me, as I see others here KNOW, I thank YOU God for those blessings and grace and KNOW you will continue to take care of us.....amen. .....God bless ...........Dennis

God Does Listen !!!!

Things are looking better for him. All that can be expected in falling in place.
His company, Haliburton. Has told him to take his time. And
for him to take care of what needs to be done and don't worry about his job
or his paycheck. They are still going to pay him for all his time he is missing. And for him to take care of his family. And if there is anything he needs, for him not to hesitate to contact and they will take care of it.

For I told him, what all has been said here on his behalf.
............. He bowed his head and started crying.


I want to thank all of you for your prayers and friendship that you have giving. For I know, that all has come from your hearts !!!!

paid my taxes today man oh man do I hate giving money to be wasted its to hard to make now days . I had a ton of deductions still owned oboomha just burns me up. Just a normally middle class worker who is supporting all the government programs that do nothing. Breaking my back for them 7 days a week
 
King there's an old saying that only two things in life are certain, death and taxes. I hate paying them as well.
