Now that I am dumping my bed more often, does anybody have any tricks as to how to keep my piece of stable mat that I use as a bed protector from sliding out? I know the obvious is to drill a couple of holes in the bed and use a couple of bolts. Just hate to put holes in a perfectly good bed.

Picked up the RTV yesterday. The new hydraulic dump is really fast. I can put it up and down twice before the Kawasaki Mule dumps once.

I have use of a Kawasaki Mule also. It has the electric dump but seems pretty wimpy, and very slow. I've always been leary about putting too much weight in it. It's fine for leaves, branches, feathers. Can't wait to do some serious hauling with the RTV.

I finally bit the bullet and dropped off my 05 RTV900 to have a hydraulic dump installed. Almost $2,000, ouch. Probably cheaper than a hernia operation though.

Looks like if you did happen to break this one you could get a replacement piece from a glass shop at a reasonable price.

Better than the $800 Kubota price, look a lot better too.

He may not have one. I have an 05 and it doesn't have the dump cylinder. I'd like to get one but if you buy the parts and have the dealership install it, you're looking at about $2,000!

I'm sure a replacement muffler could be fabricated, but unfortunately I never learned to weld. The threaded bracket that holds one end of the muffler could be salvaged from your old muffler and the flanged end that fits on the manifold could be made. What really got me was the fact the muffler...

I know what you're saying. I bought this used and it seems to be in good shape. I would like to add a glass winshield and a hydraulic bed lift. I just don't want to put an additional $2200 into it. The Kawasaki Mules are starting to look awfully nice.

I'm sure a muffler shop could come up with something cheaper, and probably better. My old muffler was still sound but the tailpipe fell off, weld failed. This new muffler has a bolt on tailpipe. I miss the days when you could throw on a cherry bomb muffler and you were good to go...

Just bought a new muffler "kit" for my 05 900. Of course the kit doesn't include the gasket! Total damages: $427!!
