Well ya know how to fix that problem. Sell the plow. Gaurenteed to snow for weeks once you don't have it anymore.
Oh, tell me about it! It would be "Blizzard of '78" time all over again. I still remember a couple years back... the ultra-snowy winter that first got me interested in snowplowing. One of the secretaries at work had a husband who plowed and made so much money that he couldn't spend or hide it fast enough. :thumb:

I buy a plow and we get absolutely nothing. :(

Jay is pretty much my last hope in this regard. :letitsnow:

Dougster:

I had a real nasty 4X4 drive to work yesterday and did quite a few "James Brown's" skidding to my truck even wearing "YakTrax". Sleet to freezing rain to rain today and tonight:sorry:. It looks like you will get some snow to push Wednesday late through Thursday , not a lot :) ; but plowable maybe ~ 3" - 4". I have to get ready for work, gotta do the snow dance thing ;) , and tonight I will pull down some serious weather data :thumb: . I will post my opinions for better or worse tonight  . Hi Jay - What about this potential MEGASTORM that they are starting to talk about for the coming weekend? Anything to it??? My cupboards here are getting kinda bare and empty. :(

That discussion started from the Japanese Global Weather model. I am going to study that baby tonight. Will keep you posted. I really want to relive the blizzards of 1977 & 8. Jay

It is starting to sleet :umbrella: as I type, the temperature is currently 29.8 degrees. More importantly more of the weather models are starting to agree about a noreaster forming Saturday night into Sunday. There are a lot of weather elements coming together:snow: . I also think you will be pushing some snow Thursday:thumb: ; it is all storm track dependent. I get a little more crazy than usual when I think we are going to get a big storm, I am not going to do the "special dance" for a while:eek:. :letitsnow: Jay

Hi Jay - They are blowing off predictions of a snowstorm for Thursday around here. Now they are saying just rain. In fact, I just told one of my clients not to worry. Maybe I should call her back?

No new word yet on the weekend. Maybe the 6PM news will say more. :)

Here is what I look at when I need a crystal ball. :umbrella:

Please don't yell. I'm still recovering from that hideous concert the other night. The one near your funky strange twisted steel building.

Dougster

Sorry I just went back and finished reading the post about the concert. Guess it was a good thing didn't get tickets to that one.

Yep... a very wise decision. Unless, of course, you enjoy mindless screeching guitars at insane volumes.

Someone must have liked it. The place was full and they had visited Hartford last year. Some folks there had to know what they were getting.

I probably would have enjoyed it more with a set of those noise cancelling headphones. :)

As a weather geek, I still think you will get some pushable snow on Thursday, and I really think we are going to get hit on Saturday night, but remember I am a therapist not a meterologist. The similarities being is that I can not always accurately predict what will happen, but I can analyze the *%#@ out of what did happen.

Civesnedfield:

I go to that site quite often. They provide a lot of solid information and are as accurate as anybody else; more than some. They (NWS) were the first service to support the Japanese model; Accuweather was second. Jay

I already "re-notified" the lady and we are making plans to prepare her driveway for plowing no later than Thursday. It finally looks like I'm gonna get a chance at some winter income in time to buy a few Christmas gifts for friends and family! :letitsnow: Cool!!! :)

Hey listen MONEYBAGS... if I had your money, there'd be heat in my house, a roast in the oven, a Christmas tree in the living room and a glass of fine brandy sitting here right next to my computer.

You've already got your Christmas gift! Your Christmas gift is knowing that you are employed, have money in your wallet, heat in your home, a giant new mega-tractor... and a free lobsta and fillet mignon dinner every single night of the week!

Does it get any better than that??? ;) And you want more???

I had a near death type of experience earlier this year. Another site got me through my recuperation period. We should all count our blessings for what we do have and the fact that we can interact on this site. BTW if we do not get these snow storms I will blame Dougster just like everyone else.
