Awesome pics Mark!

Out of curiosity, can you focus on the moon? If so, have you ever spotted anything from our lunar landings?

Damn it!!!

Over the weekend, my dog was lethargic and whimpering when trying to move or if you pet her. That's seriously not like her.

Took her to the vet Monday morning.

Lots of examinations and tests later... she tested positive for Lyme disease. :(

She can now barely move. Antibiotics being administered and hoping she should be at least somewhat back to normal in a few days.

Keep yourself and your pets protected from ticks!!!

Oh, and I keep the TV on in my office during the day as the background noise helps keep her calm. One of the movies played today was "Marley & Me". Bad choice (for me) when you have a dog that's sick. The ending will bring any dog owner to tears.

I had the TV on in the background while I worked today and watch Fury. Brad Pitt movie about a Tank Battalion in WW II. Very moving, and makes one more appreciative of that generation vs the generation of wusses we have that are offended by seeing the word Trump on campus.

Sometimes heroes rise to the occasion, I like to think if worse came to worse that the younger generation would toughen up real quick and do whatever needed done. I realize not all could or would take care of business but I hope enough would that they could keep our nation free. I do hope that is more than just wishful thinking.

Last spring, about this time, our pasture dogs began to get a lot more ticks than normal.......We had tried in the past collars, the stuff "recommended by vets" that you spread down the spine from a little tube, and stuff one puts in their food.........

Then the yard dogs began to show up with more......we are talking a total of 6 dogs and at that time we were getting maybe 2 or 3 big ticks per day on each dog..........

So, we got with the vet and HE RECOMMENDED, .........Bravecta........It's a shot that is good for 3 months. Cost is $70 or so........BUT IT WORKS......Actually we did the shot in May and didn't have to get another one.......So it does last quite a while. So, between the Snake bite vaccine $75, this tick stuff and their "normal" shots, worming, and stuff, I feel good about what we are doing to protect them.........
They are more than just the pasture and yard dogs.....YOU KNOW what they are to you and they are worth it.............God bless.....Dennis

Doc,
Very true. somewhere i saw another that said in 1942 18 yr olds were storming the beach in France, today they are passing out at the site of "Trump2016" in chalk on the sidewalk.

Even worse the ones today with fortitude enough to serve our country are being controlled by the White house and not their superiors. Does anyone really think those sailors who strayed into Iran's water apologized on their own? Our boys would have gladly gone and brought them back, if asked to.

Thanks for your thoughts on the rotary cutter. I'll order the Land Pride.
Back to the rotary cutter...

It finally came in. Went and got it last Saturday during a nasty snow storm. It looks pretty stout. Too wet the last couple days so I'll give it a try later this week.

Speaking of too wet, it seemed like a perfect time to roll the yard. Pulled out an old garden tractor I haven't used in years, got it running and started rolling the yard. 3 laps in and the main drive belt broke. :( Finished rolling the lawn with the quad. Add another belt replacement to my task list...

bczoom hope you have good service out of the new bush hog. I know what you mean to just add another project to the list of something that needs to be worked on or fixed. I think my list has grown so much that I need a forklift to move the list! :drink:

The new Land Pride rotary cutter worked flawlessly. I was cutting in a wooded area so there was a lot of racket going on inside the cutter when mowing as I was cutting really short in a place never cut before (but I did walk it and pull out the big stuff). I lifted the deck yesterday to take a peek inside expecting some damage. Not even a scratch inside. :)

PS. I ordered and installed a new drive belt for that garden tractor. A real PITA to install but it's on and the tractor is back in action.

Next on the list is running the new sewer jetter through the sewer system.

Need to get some weed killer down soon as well.

It never ends...
