    1510D update

Congratulations….and I’m sorry :(. She’ll go another 30 years without any problems. I learned, by my third injection pump, I have no business attempting diagnoses and disassembly. Their ‘insides’ are as complicated as a Swiss Watch.

Lathe, New addition to home shop!

Very nice Jake! What's the swing and bed length on that machine? I've had little luck trying to find something like that around here. Either too much money or way too small.

    OK, It's Time

WELCOME Frank! I can associate with your feelings with that site….posts do become repetitive and newer people vie for position (and constantly talk the talk). Bad advice is often dangerous to one’s equipment or personal safety and left unchecked is a cardinal sin IMHO. Glad you found us. Would...

    186D bleeding?

Jim, It's a pump.....a pump not associated with the tractors hydraulic system or dependent on the exterior hydraulic pump that powers the 3PH. The rumors about it being bullet proof are quite true as they were developed for Japans "Rental" equipment industry and that's how idiot proof they...

    186D bleeding?

California.... The 186D does not have a lift pump or electric solenoid. It's equipped with the mechanical fuel valve body....nearly the same as yours (maybe a little smaller??). Mark

    186D bleeding?

Jim, ghautz and California nailed it. If there were a list of things one might dislike about a Yanmar it would be owning one and running out of fuel. Cracking the injecor lines at the cylinder head does NOT work on a Yanmar direct injection engine. Purging air before the injection pump is the...

    Greetings Tractor Enthusiasts.......

    My Yanmar 155D and maintenance

Great story Dennis!! Gotta love happy endings. I agree, these tractors are so simple to service and maintain...which is what probably makes many Yanmar owners reluctant to sell or trade (unless they buy a larger Yanmar). Mark

    allis chalmer 5030

Is the bell housing and transmission case aluminum?? If that's the case then most FEL builders won't offer a kit for those tractors.

    allis chalmer 5030

Welcome asdfgh1!! The AC5020 and AC5030 tractors were built in Japan by Hinomoto. These same models with the Toyosha engines were also used in the Simplicity, Massey Ferguson and, of course Allis Chalmers. Strong, reliable and well built tractors indeed.

    pto speeds

rj, Pretty much, yes. I've used the 577 and second speed 680 on the Yanmar tillers after the grunt work is done breaking apart hard packed soil. It (680) turns the soil to powder....I would never attempt to use higher PTO gears on anything like a shredder or PHD. Just way too much weight of...

    pto speeds

577, 680, 796, 1010> these are approximate numbers and at indicated PTO speeds (2350-2400 RPM) attained from the tachometer hash mark. My understanding is the top two gears are used to 'fluff' the silt - just after flooding the fields and before the rice is planted.

Just pulled down YM1510 D engine - arghh!

VERY!! Reversing the rears will noticeably increase stability and provide better clearance for your 3PH lower lift arms and sway chains.

    4WD articulated tractor works!

Holy Cow! That had to be a very proud moment indeed. You have a very rare quality in problem solving and your tenacious attitude about building and finishing the projects are most certainly appreciated by most all of us. jwstewar brings up an interesting point....How much of a problem would...

    Hey Mark! Are you ok?

Sorry, We Are OK, and thanks for checking on us! Communications are very limited….phones only work a few hours during the day. I’m not sure why but, I suppose every snapped power pole that also carry the phone service lines are being severed and reconnected as they (Centerpoint energy)...

    240 D steering problem

WELCOME to NetTractorTalk Point Four! You might want to talk with California as he has the duplicate model....but, it's not uncommon for anyone who has recently purchased a SCUT with 4WD and FEL that finds steering difficult. Sorry to say that it's the nature of the beast when equipped wihtout...

    Just a few pictures

Great pictures....and I believe that children that experience their first 'drive' well forever remember the good times they had with their family.... Drayden, my 5 year old grandson, drove my Yanmar when he was 4. Creeper gear, loader down and me walking along side. He squealed with delight and...

    What has happened ??

It’s interesting that Yanmar tractors and owners are still unique and represent a very small slice of the brands available. We all know they are as good, and often better then what’s out there…. Every post I’ve read concerning Yanmars has been quality and not quantity posts. Personally, I...
