Drove up to the cabin, blew all the leaves off the porch and stairs, drove around in my woods on all of the trails, drove down the back roads with the windows down, enjoying the cool air and all of the leaf color.
After that, I spent 2 hours epoxying all the plastic cowlings inside of my Champion generator. Cheap, made in China plastics. Only about 30 or 35 hours on a 6 year old generator, but all of the cowling plastics have long cracks in them or completely broken off at the mounting tabs. It's a throw away generator. It runs good, looks good, but you can't source any repair parts for it in the US. When it mechanically dies, I will buy a Honda to replace it. I can get parts for those.

Nice add ons What is the weight limit on the carrier? I'm thinking a deer in there might make you due a wheelie in certain circumstances.

I have one of those racks. We used it on the Gator a lot, but I would mount it on the front. My SIL hauling out his first deer out of the slaughter field a few years ago. It came in handy for hauling the generator around, too.

I am working in a project to try and build a flow diversion barrier to direct runoff from my major property access track. Since putting in some new firebreaks in that area I’ve created problems of runoff and erosion. I initially started earthworks using tractor and backhoe, but am now filling in the barriers using rocks. I’m collecting rocks in my rtvx and dropping them into the barrier with the tipper to provide weight and bulk. I’m guessing I’m hauling about 200kg with each load and have done about ten loads.
The rtvx is great at this kind of work and is proving a really useful addition around the homestead.

Interesting. Which one do you have?
I have a couple Champion generators and have never had a problem. I'm guessing they're at least 15 years old.
Never used their parts but here's their site for replacement parts.

Does anyone have a Champion generator that the inside cowling have broken into pieces and has long cracks in the plastics? I bought this 3100 watt unit new back in 2017. It has had very light use, maybe 30-35 hours on it. It has always ran perfectly and I love how quiet it is. But, this...

Do you have a windshield on your RTV?
I don't trailer my RTV but others here have said that they prefer to have their RTV backed onto the trailer as it avoids potential chips to the windshield from rocks or debris coming up and hitting it.
I (like you) prefer to have it pulled on as high winds to the inside of the windshield may tear it off since the mounting of the windshield is expecting wind and such coming from the front.

I have a windshield but wouldn't back onto the trailer for the very reason that you stated.
