186 yanmar one rear wheel wont turn

Welcome SonnysYanmar! I agree with all the responses. The brakes are frozen to the drum surfaces. You can, without too much trouble, remove the entire cover plate which holds the shoes, springs and linkage. You may have to induce 'shock' by tapping with a hammer while trying to dislodge the...

    Making the artic useful

Wow Jim, This is becoming typical of your engineering skills :D. I don’t see a top link to finish off the 3PH. Is this something you will add down the road? How do you think it will work with a serious implement attached? I’m thinking of a box blade with the rippers extended in relation to...

How'd you find Net Tractor Talk?

Hey Cleatus...didn't realize you made it over here . I was following along a something "Mith" was building and lost track....So, I entered Mith (space) tractor into Google and, ZAP!! NTT's WWW. came right up (like a wanted poster ).

Someone care to explain to me...

Situations change dramtically, once the world media is envolved. The prior military in me, suggests a strike to set the example and hope for minimal collateral damage. Why we haven’t done this is (probably) the reluctance to appear even less popular to our NATO allies and UN members (?). You...

Roller cabinets, who has one and are they worth it?

Jim, I bought one a few years ago. I's a nice and tall single box that holds most of my serious wrenches, sockets, air tools and other goodies. The problem is if I open the upper drawers, the tool box is prone to fall forward, and has (twice LOL). This created some serious damage to the drawer...

    john deere 2010

Welcome deere john, I believe the ‘jets’ are viewable once the float is removed at the base of the carb. IMO, if it runs rough with the choke partially closed….and keeps running, then you have dirt or debris blocking the main jet. I have had great success (lately) with non-serviceable style...

    FEL

Ditto - What Mith attached. My first homemade loader came from a pencil and several pages of blank paper. I copied and measured everything from a FEL installed on another tractor, drew pictures and inquired about tube wall thicknesses. Bought the steel necessary and cut everthing using my notes...

    massey 135

Yes California, the exact same thought had crossed my mind. Good business I think, where a company incorporates everything that is realiable, durable and with a proven track record....then build it into their product. I just didn't realize it's copied from domestic Iron like the Massey...

    Really,Really,REALLY stuck clutch!

I said to my little brother "Hey, you gotta minute"? He and I split the Kubota in 45 minutes...that's a record for me! He was kind enough to go to downtown Houston and pick up the new disk (to replace the one on the right LOL) this morning and we had it back together in hour and 50...

    Really,Really,REALLY stuck clutch!

Saturday: I just can’t seem to deliver this tractor! It ran, shifted and clutched just fine when I drove it in the shop…and now?? Well, I pulled the compression release, fired up the glow plugs, depressed the clutch, released the compression handle and hit the starter…..bang, cough, chug...

    Big mistake

Geeze Tinkertoys, This could have been a much worse story and ending. I’m glad to hear those boys had their senses about them, reacted quickly and defended themselves and their property. I hope to read a follow up where this jerk is caught, arrested and put away. Can you imagine what would...
