I just did all the plastics.on my 900 an the chasis i just built. Just my opinion, I would spend the small extra bucks an buy the gun to spray.the stuff.spraying it makes a big difference an better results

You could also open up (drill out) the weep holes,make them bigger to allow more area for drain an debree.rust will clog the holes then hold water, me personally I would not only do that,but make more holes for it to breath as well. The fluid film is a must as well.you can get a can of fluid...
