which golight?

well,, i can't decide,,,, I want a golight,,but which one? I think i will mount it in the middle between the front work lights. That kills the 360 capability,,but i am in the woods a lot, and already have a lot of scratches on top from branches scraping across. I think it may not survive on top in the path of tree branches.

There are too many choices! Any advice? I see pricing from $165 to $500.

LED? Spot? Wide beam? Cr5 bulb?

I think I want a dash mount remote. I tend to "misplace" remotes and blame my wife for it missing,,,,,

THe go lights are nice. What are your plans for it looking into trees also or just general lighting on the sides for scientific (poaching) purposes(looking for deer) lol

I have a magnetic mount Stryker. I don't know which bulb I have but it's a beam that just goes on forever.

Mine sits on the flat part of the roof, towards the back. I went with the magnetic mount so if/when I do expect to go through an area that may damage whatever is sitting on the roof, I pull it off the roof and stick it to the rear cage. I mounted a thin, flat piece of steel (painted black) onto the roof.

I have both the wired and wireless remote. For the wireless, I put it in a Ram-mount. They have some universal mounts that hold all kinds of stuff similar to that size.
It's similar to this one.

No real specific purpose other then to get rid of the portable Q-Beam handheld spotlight that bounces around in the cab since there is no good place to store it. It is big and in the way. No scientists here! I am usually watching for poachers in my woods so a long reach would be nice.

Do they make one with a long spot in the middle and a flood at the same time?

I have both the wired and wireless remote.

Both remotes on 1 light? Did you buy it by candlepower and remote type? Didn't I see a joystick going thru a roof pic once? Was that yours?

What made you buy the stryker? Are there any models to avoid?

One is a wired control, the other is wireless.

I bought it based on reviews by Two Guns and probably others on this forum and general reviews across the internet. I don't think there's a bad version/model of the Stryker.

I bought it for anytime I want to see beyond about 25 yards (the limit of what the OEM headlights and general work lights that are on the RTV).

Dang! That's the same one I have but that's one heck of a price. I think mine was closer to $13K. ;)

I couldn't stand it any more,, i called that company. They say that they no longer offer that light,,so they put the price up to the extreme number so no one would order it. He did volunteer to build me one if I paid the 9 grand!

shrug,,,It doesn't make sense to me ,,,but I don't own that company.

bczoom,,you should put yours on ebay for $3000,,, 1/3 of present retail! There is a link to prove it!

they do not sell stryker with a wired remote and a wireless remote. Only the radioray is sold that way now. The radioray is not as strong as the stryker. Stryker has the most powerful beam.

They do sell it with dash remote and remote that are BOTH wireless, but I like wires. Batteries are always dead when i need them.

We purchased several of the GoLight Stryker with BOTH the wireless remote and the
Master command.
We have a choice of using the "cab control", or the remote control

Both controls work flawlessly !!!!
Super Product

The switchs on the right is the Master command for the Stryker Golight....

OK, I'm out in the shop with computer in hand. Not really in hand as it's too big. Fired up the GoLight. Wireless has the original batteries. 6 years later and the remote still works just fine. I wouldn't worry about going wireless.

i saw that auction and almost bought it,,,but all the other auctions for 3051 golights only have 1 remote. I think they have an incorrect pic for that auction.
