Think we A'skert 'em off????

Well, something is very wrong with this picture. Why would the town bother to remove your barrior? Simply to allow an illegal activity to take place? I find that hard to believe on its face unless you did something really nasty to tick off the town fathers recently.

Lord knows I have had more than my share of problems with stupid town decisions that have nearly destroyed my business and hobbies for no good reason... and as you may recall, I almost got arrested for sticking it back in their faces... but there has got to be more to this story than what you are telling us! Even if they are more evil and stupid than my own evil and stupid town fathers, this still doesn't make a whole lot of sense. :o

Sorry if I offended... :sorry: ...but I still wish I were there when they came upon your little "speed bump"! ;)

Dougster :starbucks:

I have highlighted the main cause of the problem. The town manager has yet to read the snowmobile laws for the state. He as much told me that today! And let me tell ya something it was a thing of beauty. Went across the whole road 25 feet wide and damn near 16 feet tall, and those idiots still climbed over it. But it did have the desired effect. IT SLOWED THEM DOWN. But have no fear, weather man just said 10 to 12 inches tomorrow with more on the way for the weekend. I can and will rebuild it!

Clearly, you need a BIGGER tractor & loader so you can build an even BIGGER barrier. :D That little Mahindra 4530 of yours is obviously deficient if the town folks could remove your barrier so easily!!! ;)

I'll consider buying the 4530 if you haven't abused it too badly yet... or painted it BLUE!!!

Now that's just not right. Trying to get me going just so you can benifit from my anger. Little do they know that I have access to a larger tractor. If that doesn't due the trick I also have access to a very large front end loader. Bigger than the one the town has. If I get that bad boy up there it will take them at least a week to move all that snow. :yum:

Strikes me that there might be a new use for some of that scrap steel we keep hearing about. A couple hundred tons of it across the end of that road and I'll bet that would serve the same purpose as your snow barrier! :yum:

Now that would get the old Edster into trouble. If I did that they would probably have me arrested or something like that. The Snow barrier is totally natural and VERY visible. Any one trying to get over it would be doing so at their own risk. By putting a hazardous barrier up IE scrap steel it could be seen as an action that would result in serious harm to the snowmobilers (idiots). In other words lawsuit and jail time for the Edster.

Just trying to help Ed... just trying to help! :yum: :yum: :yum:

Dougster :starbucks:

Oh I see your master plan now. You insite Edster into a frenzy. Edster goes out and builds huge wall of steel. Edster lands up in court and goes to jail. Mrs. Edster does not have enough money to pay all the bills. Dougster steps in with a plan. Dougster walks away with the Tank for a song.

And I thought you were my friend:yum: :yum:

And the problem with that is...

Taint one bit funny at all. Lets say you try to back out of your driveway or go to take Fido out for a walk. Do you want to be afraid every time you walk to the end of your driveway of a snowmobile racing towards you. Or how about snowmobiles racing up and down the road at break neck speeds at all hours of the night. The enforcement by the officials is the key point here. There are not enough Wardens to effectively handle all of the problems and the police will not respond until the calls get so numerous that they no longer have an excuse to ignore them. I have been trying to deal with this problem for almost ten years now and have gotten no where. In order for the Warden or the police to do something they have to catch the people themselves. Pictures and or videos do you no good, believe me I've tried.

This little snow(speed) bump of mine is the first thing that has seriously slowed these idiots down. The beauty of the snow bump is that it is highly visible and any idiot that tries to go over it does so at his or her own risk.
Ed,
You wanna borrow my Kimber? I would really think about having a car of yours break down right where the speed bump was. Or just dump some round bales there.
hugs, Brandi

The Kimber is a Great idea Brandi, but I think it plays right into the Dougsters hand. He is trying to get his hands on a superior machine. As far as parking hay or a car there it would just cause more trouble. The thing with the snow is that all of it comes fro the town owned and maintained road, therefore I am simply piling their snow up at the end of their road. :letitsnow:

I know if this was Texas the problem would have been solved 10 years ago. It would have been like shooting ducks at the arcade. Just pick em off as they come onto the road. :yum:

Well, it ain't exactly the People's Republic of Taxachusetts either Ed!!! Ain't there even a hint of common sense and frontier justice left up there in Maine???

Why am I getting the impression that Brandi could deal with this problem 20 times better and faster than the old Edster??? :yum:

And yes, I do realize she's got a bigger tractor than yours!!! :waiting:

Doug ten to fifteen years ago there might have been some common sense left in Maine. But you need to remember that over that time period we have been inundated with FLATLANDERS, mostly Massholes. Need I say more.:pat:

Now wait just a minute there Ed... You said that was a SOUTHERN Maine problem. You are up there near the dang Canadian border!!! Polar bears live just a few miles further north!!!

Stop thinking like a Massachusetts weenie and learn something from the Kimber-packin' lady from Texas. :respect: Sometimes I think you've been working in the Boston area for too long!!! ;)
