rtv x1100c won't move

yes i installed the salvaged hst .i think there is one on the engine flywheel then there is one on the input shaft between the hst and rear end it got replaced when i put on the new hst i'm thinking i'm gonna use a milwaukee inpesction camera and look in the rubber plug on the top of bellhousing and see what is going on man i need a drink any other ideas

that is a good idea. does the power steering and bed lift work when the machine is in gear and making the noise? so the complete hst has neen replaced along with the input shaft and coupler? you have checked the splines on the rear axles?? can you use your borescope to look into the gearcase? remind me please.. is there a splined coupling on the input shaft to the hst? and is there a splined coupler between the hst output shaft and the gear case?

it makes this noise in neutral as well but just when you give it some throttle which is the same way it acts in gear .heres what i did i was unbolt the complete hst as a unit and replace it i left its charge pump place when you do that you have the two splined shafts to mate up to i left the coupler on the lower shaft of the salvage hst the top stayed with the machine when i removed the old hst yes the bed all works no problem but i was wrong the hydraulic pump is engine driven off the side of the block i hope all of this makes sense cause its kind of a complex little system to explain. heres my current theory the coupler on the flywheel is stripped but works until apply a load to the hst thats why it makes no noise at idle but my next question is does the hst build pressure in neutral or dues to the fact that no torque is applied to the output shaft does the pressure remain low

yes the hst builds pressure while in neutral but only the charge pump. the drive pump doesn't really build pressure until the swash plate is tilted. then the individual pistons are depressed and send HP oil to the drive motor.

i would investigate the line from the tank under the seat to the charge pump. would look into the dry tank for an obstruction on the inlet. is it possible to blow compressed air from the suction filter back into the tank???? remember to remove the filler cap

i removed the suction line from the charge pump i could blow air through it in was by myself some it was hard to tell how good it was going through but seems normal very little oil come out of this line when i removed it so i guess i'm thinking it has to be the flywheel coupler or the shaft it connects to wonder how bad of a job that is the wsm acts like you have to remove the engine and trans as one unit and then disassemble to do that requires removing the rear suspension sounds like alot of work

i took it out when i drained the tank blew it out with air to get the steel off must have a magnet in it according to the picture doesn't that go to the hydraulic pump? its really hard to keep track of where all these lines go at least it is for me i went in today and priced that suction hose its 100.00 i forgot the inspection cam at work i'll try that tomorrow night and look in the timing cover and see if i see anything how big of a job is changing out that flywheel coupler

the wsm and parts book are vague. good that you cleaned the screen. could be a hose is collapsing or has a flap of loose rubber inside. i would think a free flow of oil should come out of the suction tube.

one thing i wondered about the oil in the suction tube if it gets its oil from the ports on the side of the tank it has to go up before it can get into the tube so if it was empty it couldn't siphon oil into the tube cause if i remember right it drained oil out of it when i removed the hst

probably a good idea to make sure the vent is working also. i think if the tank is full wouldn't the oil level push oil up and into the suction? you could always use compressed air to gently push oil from the tank to prime the suction of the charge pump

i went out and started it when looking in the transmission with a inspection camera its real hard to see but i don't think the input shaft is turning i'm gonna put just a little oil in it and see if i can tell if its turning tomorrow night

removed hst the input shaft has something going on either stripped flywheel adapter or input shaft my salvage hst came with a gear case i think i'm just going to swap it in and buy a new flywheel adapter how bad of a job will transmission removal be wsm talks about removing the engine as well i think i'm going to just remove the transmission if possible any tips would be great looks like quite a job
