HST all back together and holding oil. About to put rear axle back on then realised one of the outer shaft splines are worn (same side as damaged CV/spider). They look worn and splines are v tipped rather than castellated. Despite this when I enter it into the new female shaft it seems to bind quite well with no movement...the dilemma is should I replace outer shaft or just put back together as is mixing old with new?? When removing the outer shaft I noticed a seal on the inside bearing was damaged....how hard is it to change bearings in chassis Fram housing, are they pressed? Good news is all new steering hoses are on...just hope I have them the right way!!
