Ok, here comes another who has been lurking in the shadows. I'm prompted to jump in here by the arrival of a really fine set of stick-stoppers that were left at my gate today. Wow Tommy, what a great job you did on these (Even powdercoated) You cannot possibly be making a profit on these. If I had used local shops they would have been at least $250-$300.

I would be neglecting my manners if I did not also thank all the other regular members of this forum who have conbtributed so much to my education regarding the Kubota RTV. I feel like I know at least fifteen of you.

Over the last couple of years I have saved over 200 pages of your suggestions, thoughts and comments. Many businesses have benifited as a result, and every time I look at or work on the machine, I think of the guys(and girls) who created an image in my mind with your thoughts.

Thanks again to all the fine people who keep this forum alive. ~~~KOBE~~~
PS
I will try to post a photo, but I do not do well with computers, so if that will not work it is a 2013 900xt. It has replaced a B-Series Kubota tractor that
was telling me I was having too many "Senior moments" Like accidently dropping the FEL while going down a 20 degee grade at speed with a Land-Pride 60" brush hog pushing me. I would love to have had a photo of that.

Kobe,

Welcome! Wow, you picked a good one. Mine is a 2011 RTV 900 XT. Tell us about it, like color, utility, worksite, general purpose, etc. What about accessories, tires, etc?

If interested in suggestions, how about a bedliner if you don't have the spray-on type. The best accessory for me is the high rise intake. The OEM version is pricy, but in my mind well worth the cost. I was cleaning the air filter once a week during a drought. Replaced the original intake with the high rise and haven't had to clean the filter for well over a year. I have cleaned it but it was not necessary.

Ole Two Guns had a great suggestion of purchasing the cheep rubber automotive door trim (u-shaped that covers the edge) and install on the hood. The RTV 900s tend to have fretting between the hood and the fender plastic. The trim prevents this and cost all of about $10.

Once again, welcome. You already recognized that there are great folks on this forum.

And yes, Peanut does great work. My black stick stoppers still look wonderful!

Thanks guys and girls for the kind welcome. To answer your collective questions, my RTV900xt is a worksite orange that came with a plastic canopy. After delivery, I have added a windshield, glove box and underhood storage box, 650000 candela Go-light, front and rear Echo brand 1665 lumen work lights, (Really bright and only use 1.2 amps each) Front mud flaps with aluminun stiffeners under all four, self contained 4000# winch that slides into the front or back 2" recievers, overhead lighted switch panel, 175 amp plugs front and back on #4 welding cable for winch and whatever, Heavy duty (red dot) springs and struts, high mount air cleaner, aluminun and oak 360 degree rack with a stall matt in the bed, Curtis electric lift plow (It will do just fine for our normally light snowfall here in South Western Oregon) Ten inch front and twelve inch rear Grim Reapers on STI HD alloy wheels, (Worksites in summer) Etc. Etc. All of the above are my versions of your suggestions. Thanks!

Sorry for the turtle reply, but my wife just did a triple rollover in her Camry a few days ago that that no one can believe she survived, including the State Police. She is out of the hospital and already driving her new one. I call it the (Rewards for wrecks Program) She is a tough old girl, she already survived almost a half century with me.~~~~~~~~~~~~KOBE

So, what did you do after lunch? :tiphat: :)

Wow. That sucks. Glad to hear she's OK and out of the hospital.

pepr, one thing that I did not address in my reply was your hood trim suggestion. Just for information, that issue was taken care of by the factory, and my 2013 came with it.

kobe, did they add better weather stripping? Sounds like you have accessorized very well. Enjoy your machine.

Wow. Kobe, same thing happened to my niece in a Honda Accord a few years ago. Her school books were strewn through the broken windows till she quit rolling against a tree. Those air bags and seat belts are lifesavers. I am sure glad she is ok. A real miracle for our loved ones. Be sure to give her the safety lesson for the RTV if she drives it.Show her member Vintova's post maybe..
It sounds like you are really improving the RTV with those projects of yours. :) . bordercollie

I will try a photo of the new hood gasket, but I tried to send a photo of my winch project and it was a no go. May be my Microsoft Explorer. One of the forum members had suggeted a removable winch would be nice a year or so ago, and it turned out to be an easy and affordable project that cost me less then $250 (Included the Superwinch but did not include the #4 welding cable that I had from prior winch installations) Twenty years ago, on my off road four wheeler, I built a two inch hardened steel roller mounted under the front winch fairlead, and another mounted in the rear hitch reciever. It allowed me to pull from the center rear when we would bury the front end in a dry wash or a creek bed while trying to haul out an elk. Don't mind packin out deer but elk got a little tougher as my hair got grayer.~~~~~~~~~KOBE

Hi Bordelcollie, Matter of fact I did show her Vintova's post some time back. I know he is not a kid but from what he accomplishes he must be in great shape, as he works hard like you do. I am sure that helped in his recovery. My wife is seventy two and spent most of her life in a bank, so the man upstairs was for sure looking out for her.

By the way lady, I always thought I was a fair hand with fixin things and working with tools. But after watching some of your projects, I just pert near feel inadequate~~~lol

Thanks Kobe. I own all that I am to being given a wonderful, patient,Mama and Daddy that taught me how to do things for myself and taught me right from wrong.I very much look forward to seeing them again when the Lord calls me home. I would go around with Daddy when just a tot and he 'd let me help him with his projects . Yes, he gave a young'un a screwdriver and a piece of junk, put me in a cardboard box and I had a great time there near him for hours. Same for Mama but no tools.- more like biscuits. :) :) and vegetable gardening :) :). When I got older, the same but no box ;)
I make mistakes and just try to keep on trying to do it right. Or as my folks would say "Oh,I know you can" or "there's more than one way to skin a c** " figuratively speaking of coarse. :) They were awesome folks and worked hard all their lives .
Have a great evening Kobe and Mrs Kobe.

Hi Forum~~~~If someone has figured out how to post a photo using Internet Explorer I would appreciate some advice. I have read the suggestions on the forum but cannot get it to work. I am using the smallest photo setting I can send the photo's to my P/C with, but am not sure if they are small enough~~~~~~~~~KOBE
I know, I should switch to Crome or whatever, but you know the old dogs and new tricks story!
