LOL Blame it on Me.Not much use for them unless you want or need the ground clearance for playing the the deep mud and water. They are designed like that mainly for the ground clearance and for the big tires for the 1s who like to play hard.Every setup and modification people do serves a purpose.Every person plays differently.Myself id go with a lift kit and some Matt Tracks if i wanted to play like that.

Didn't realize he was your son two guns, he is very talented you must be so proud.

Thanks much BaiJiu for the kind words. I've am, very proud of my boys.
There is much pride and work ( and money ) that goes into these trucks.

Just like everything else in life. It's just what a man likes.

We have all heard of the story about a gunfighter. There is always somebody out there wanting to "out-draw" you.....
Well, here is you a "gun-slinger" story >>>>>

My youngest son, who is quiet as a church house mouse, has a Dodge 3/4 ton with a modified Cummings Diesel !!! The boys modified it to the max.
Truck looks just like a plain 'ole truck.
But as you know, People talk !!!!
A few weeks ago, there was a man with a gas burner that was modified kept on
daring him. Over and over again runing into him up in town wanting him to race.
He would just smile and say, " Don't need to" !!!!
Then it happened. This man made the mistake while going down the levy road
( Levy road has no traffic to speek of ) and come running up to him daring him.
Pulling up beside and gunning his truck. Then it happened. (This was told from the man who was sitting in the passenger seat of the aggresser.)

My son, just looked over, smiled and FLOORED IT !!!!
He left him in a cloud of black smoke. Like a rocket. The man told of him backing out of it at about 125 plus mph, and the diesel was still leaving him like he was sitting still ....
That man found my son and told him he didn't have a clue that a diesel would do such.
He just smiled and told him. Don't let your eyes fool you >>>>>

Of course, when I heard about this up at the local cafe. It pissed me off.
I wanted to choke this man for daring my son. And also, told my son how I felt about him doing this. It scares me him going that fast.
Then I hugged him, and told him how much I love him.

Be careful, I said .... "Daddy is here if you need me " !!!!

He said he was sorry.

I am thinking, " Yes, till next time a dare comes along " >>>>>

......... two guns

Hey, boys will be boys; sounds like you have some of the better ones. The other guy will likely be eating lots of crow for awhile, I'm sure all the guys are sticking it to him.

Thanks BaiJiu,
God has blessed me with some great children. I also have a young lady who lives now in Austin Texas.

The "other guy" has been eating crow. Not from my boys. But from every
person that knows about the road race. It is funny.
Sheriff even said he would have loved to see that !!!

Crazy thing is, the other guy, and some others. Are just dying to get into my sons shops. They don't let ANYONE in their shops. No eyeballing or site seeing.
And it is killing the souls of many. They have done everything but beg, and these are grown men 35 -60 year old men wanting to step in and "browse and see" what goes on in these shops. My boys, being polite, just tell them, " there is nothing but work threw them big doors". And then there is the excuse that "Sorry, insurance only covers employees only. "
You should see the people that gathers around when the door do open and another truck rolls out. People love to see them "test fire" these modified machines !!! It is a site to see !!!!

I am one proud father !!!!

These young men are having a blast.

I've always said, in reference of our children .....
" Keep God in your heart, keep a gun in one hand, fishing pole in the other, mud between their toes, and the bad elements of life will stay away from them " !!!!

Alan and Sandra lived on a cove at Gull Lake Alberta.

It was early winter and the lower portion of the cove had frozen over.

Alan asked Sandra if she would walk across the frozen part of the cove to the general store and get him some smokes and beer.

She asked him for some money, but he told her, "Nah, just put it on our tab.

Old man Stacey won't mind."

So Sandra, being the good wife walked across the ice, got the smokes and beer at the store and then walked back home across the cove.

When she got home with the items she said, "Alan, you always tell me not to run up the tab at Stacey's store.

Why didn't you just give me some money?"

Alan replied, "Well, Sandra, I didn't want to send you out there with cash when I wasn't sure how thick the ice was!"

A love story like this almost brings tears to my eyes........

Well, it's cold again. Currently 2 degrees + wind = about a -15 with the wind chill factor. The highest temp for the remainder of the week is 15 with lows probably going below zero.

Fired up the 2nd wood stove today. Staying nice and warm inside.

We have a Blizzard coming in tonight, just got finished cleaning up the last mess. So much for global warming, this has been one horrible winter so far.

Lost one of my metal over head barn doors in this one, I removed what was left of it and decided to install wooden swing doors and open the frame up some, wow lots of nails and the headers were so hard to get out, I finally had to get into some detailed carpentry, and got out the Husqvarna, it's open now.

Didn't happen unless you have pictures...
Kidding aside, what happened to cause this? Severe freeze?

I had my pickup in my barn and tented the plow and front of the truck to run a heater on it. Blew a hose on the angle cylinder and after 16 years and even nice and warm it was a bear to get apart. Ended up with a pain in my left elbow but got it done. When I went to open my big slider to get it out the frost had pushed up an area tight to the door. Had to use my ice chopper to get it open and chisel it back down. Frost must be really getting down deep this year. Next week is supposed to be even colder than this one was. Burning wood and coal like mad and will need another load of logs soon.
