According to John Deere, it meets the specs for Kubota Super UDT. Myself, I would use Kubota OEM fluids.

From what I can tell from Kubota's website all of the 900's and some of the 1100's share the same key. You can order one online at Messicks for about $10. Part number PL501-68920

Maybe the vent on the fuel cap is plugged? Loosen the fuel cap and see what happens.
