First confirm that your engine rpm is in spec and that the linkage is adjusted in spec and fluid and filters are oem sudt2 no aftermarket. Before you assume the hst is at fault. Then confirm charge pressure is at spec and if it isn't adjust it or repair the charge pump and re test. And from...

    Kubota RTV900 slow speed

If you wish to stay within oem spec you are correct. The same engine in other applications will run 3600 at full load and 3800 no load. It is a decision that each has to make for themselves. Just putting the info out. I don't know but i suspect the derated rpm spec is for emissions. The hst...

X900 lose a power going up hill

The engine should never die. The transmission may stall and no forward movement but engine should run on and on. I would suggest that if your fuel tank isn't full that you are running it out of fuel. Or a rag or something in the tank.

More questions for this new owner - shifting

The gear part of the transmission is old school non syncromesh. More like an antique tractor. If there is and pressure on the gears they can be difficult to engage or disengage. The rtv must be stopped and the hydraulic pressure removed for the easiest gear changes. There is a dump valve...

New guy with an RTV 1100 Problem

Correct. That pump has nothing to do with the transmission. Apparently it is dead heading and killing the engine? Since it idles and then suddenly dies i suspect that you are actuating the blade?

How do you tighten the fan belt on a RTV1100c?

The rtv 1100 doesn't have a fan. But the water pump belt is adjusted with the alternator i think.

2005 RTV 900 Radiator Drain and Fill - More Out Then Went in ?

You are air locked. Dont run it that way. The new models have several air bleeds because of this. Probably should drain and add back very slowly until you get the same amount back in.
