    missing UDT

Archdean, Thanks so much for the helpful advice. I do tend to fret on, well just about everything as I have been blessed with ADD. Glad also to hear you sound like a believer in the super UDT!

    missing UDT

Today I checked the UDT level and now it looks over full. I would say about 1/8" over the full mark but with a cold engine. I am seeing what was said about the oil being very hard to see on the stick. I wonder how much fluid it takes to get to where it is from where it should be. I have to drop...

    missing UDT

Well thanks guys, I feel a bit better. I checked the oil when the machine was cold back when he did the repair. When I checked it yesterday the tractor was at operating temperature. I added .5 gal at a time ran the engine moved the FEL position a few times and turned it off, let it settle and...

    missing UDT

I just turned 45 hours on my L39 and did the ten hour lube job on the FEL and BH and decided to also check the engine oil & UDT level. To my surprise the UDT level did not even make it to the bottom of the stick! I have fifteen new gallons of super$$ UDT which I had ordered for the 50 hour...

    50 Hour Service L39

Topper, Happy to hear that your L39 has been reliable. I was wondering how much UDT oil came out of the tractors six drain plugs during your 50 hr service? I am about to drop the UDT on my L39 and was curious to know what to expect as I imagine the various pistons hold lots of fluid that wont...

    Backblading a bad idea?

Well thanks guys I am a beginner and have only logged 90hrs on my old NH TC-30 and now 40 hrs on the new love of my life the L39 so I am somewhat green to all of this. I have also read that backblading is is a bit tuff on the tractor but I do not remember where, maybe that other tractor site...

    Backblading a bad idea?

I was wondering if backblading with the FEL is altogether just bad to do. I am aware that it imposes lots of force and strain on the FELS curling pistons but was wondering if it is OK to do with care and reason and not in the full dump end position.

    50 Hour Service L39

Wow, great information! How much do they charge for the modification? I am at 40 hours now and going to buy my Super UDT oil today for the 50 hr service. I am in the middle of changing the grade on the side of my garage and think I may have tweaked my FEL. I just noticed, while parking the 39 in...

    50 Hour Service L39

Hi guys, I also have a new L39 and after only 10 hours or so I noticed one of my stabilizer pistons had a drip or two on it. It seemed to stop leaking but than started again. I called the dealer and he was quick to order a new one and had his mechanic drive the hour and replace it. I was...

    Hello and introduction

Hi Dougster, Nice looking tractor, I love the high ground clearance. That is one thing I wish the L39 had more of! What kind of grapple do you have? I would like to purchase one eventually.
