What are these for?

Wife an I were out digging up wild daffodils yesterday and I noticed these on the back of the cab.
what are they intended to be used for?

Looks like it's for mounting the rear window screen.
Here's a pic (if your brackets match what's pictured).

The one on the Right Rear also has an Antenna mount for your Radio, Pre-Wired and coax is stuffed in potential factory radio location.
Overhead Console.

Ahh Ha. Thanks guys. That's it. Now I'm wondering what happened to my screen. LOL They do come with the RTV don't they? I'd be surprised if someone laid out the big bucks for a new x1100c and said no to the screen. But ... my powers of observation are lacking. I've owned the machine since Dec 2020 and I never noticed no screen until you all pointed it out. Duh.

Negative, the screen protector for the back window is optional. Very few that I see with them.

I've had 3 RTV's All purchased used. The first two had the screen. It was a 3 years between my 2nd and 3rd RTV but I should have noticed or remember the screen. So far no issues with not having it.

That is, until you have an issue. Once you look up the cost of replacing that rear windshield, you quickly realize $300 is a bargain for that piece of expanded steel. I have it, and it's saved my bacon more than once. one time I mangled the crap out of it when a piece of firewood got stuck under the lip and I raised the dump bed I just took it off, laid it in the driveway, straightened her up, put it back on and continued working.

I also would like to mention that it very easily swings up so you can clean the glass underneath!

I'm currently using mine today for hauling wood, i'll take some pics and post em up later for you.

Funny you mention that. Earlier I was out looking at how vulnerable the back window is. Now that I've thought of it, and aware of this I know I'll have to protect the window. Any load shift and my enclosed cab would not be enclosed anymore.

Good to know it can swing out for cleaning the rear window. Thanks Bota Fett. I agree with you that I will need to put this on my list of things to add to the RTV real soon. I was going to spend 300 to protect the tranny. Now I'm thinking the window screen comes first. Decisions decisions. LOL

Here are some pics of that screen. As well as what I was talking about when the firewood hangs out over the bed and has the potential to get under that screen when you go to dump it. Just have to make sure everything is inside before you dump.

And speaking of "what's this for?" What is that little white knob for, just under the warning sticker on the drivers side? It has a hose with a clamp. Is that the fuel shut off? I just noticed that.

I was warned. I listened. Then forgot. Never conceded a roll of 4" drain pipe might get caught on screen when dumping it out. Whoop. it caught and pull the screen away from window. Now it does not go back in tight. Talk about a rattle. LOL

If you look closely at my photo above, you will see the zip ties holding mine in. No more rattle Yeah it's a slight inconvenience having to cut zip ties to wash the window. But I always keep a few handy as part of my ohshit kit. (zip ties, bailing wire, electrical tape, duct tape, krazy glue) can fix most anything, enough to get you home (hopefully)
