Tires

They are taller. RTV's come with 25's. I up'd the size of my replacement tires to 27's on my 2015 x1100c ....no rubbing. I did go with 9" wide on the front and 11" wide on the rear. Worked out great. So mine are 11/27/12 and 9/27/12
The ones in the link are for 14" wheels. RTV comes with 12" rims. So 14's would also increase the height.

The RTV I bought needed tires right away so I've only checked speed with the 27's on it. The speedo reads 22 or 23 but gps shows 27. That might be a hair faster than with 25" tires but I can't be sure.

OK....not really worth the expense for me to change then.
I was hoping for that magical 30 MPH. LOL.

These RTVs don’t really have particularly good (safe) suspension and steering geometry for higher speeds. They suffer particularly from an oversteer condition and higher speeds will subject them to greater roll-over tendencies in turns. Larger tires will exacerbate the issue, IMO.
We have both a RTV-X900 and a Kawasaki Mule and the differences in handling are stark, with the Mule much better at handling speed and rough terrain than the little RTV….and the RTV having better pulling-power at lower speeds.

Put the 26 inch tires on my X1100c . Little booger gets a little squirrely down hill at 26 to 27 mph. They aint made to go fast thats fer sure.

Yes I hear you all They are short and twitchy for sure. Thirty would ne nice for straight road sections though.

Oh well....have to wait until I can buy a Sidekick to go with my 1100C.
But I'll never replace my 1100C. It's way too useful for it's intended purposes.

I’ll act like a parent and remind everyone that unless you are wearing seat belts, shoulder harnesses, and have side-doors…. a slide down a gravel road on your RTVs side will hurt. I mostly ride around at less then 20 mph with no more protection than a plastic windshield and that little tubular hip-level loop on the frame that keeps one from sliding off the seat in a turn. A front wheel blow-out could end up with me sliding on the dirt and an RTV on top of me. I‘ve decided I’m too old to go 30 mph in one of these things.
