I plowed two driveways yesterday and pushed snow that I had pulled off the lower part of the roof with the RTV and thought I'd give it the day off.(Today I really needed some down pressure)


It was a lot warmer today (hence the open garage) and the snow I took off up higher on the roof was like cement when it hit the apron.


So I opted for the other Kubota.


Spring can't get here soon enough!

There really is a river under that ice in the last picture.

Looks like you're in NY. A bit warmer here in PA. Sloshy ice and a mess.

I'll still take the melting and warmer temps. Back in the teens by the weekend.

RTV today brought firewood to the house. JD tractor played pushing snow piles away from mine and the neighbors driveways. Piles are 6' or so.
 
Last night we had freezing rain followed by 8-10 inches of wet snow then freezing rain again, I worked for hours trying to plow this crap today. Tonight we are getting the same. I am just so tired of (this) winter. Normally we only get a few dumps of wet snow each year now we are getting mostly wet snow each storm. I feel for all of you living on the Great Lakes.
 
LOL NO you dont feel sorry your sitting back laughinmg at us lol.Bota never gets a day off here unless im sick.To bad i cant get it on the roof to pull the 30 inches of snow i had on there.That was a real chor shoveling off the roof.With rain in the forcast i had no choice.
 
Mark - Do you have a roof snow shovel? I use something like this. Makes it a relatively easy project. I don't go all the way to the peak but if you can get the bottom portion down to shingles, the heat does a nice job of melting the rest. It also melts it so your gutters don't get full of ice. Did my roof last Sunday. Looking really good now which is key as we're getting rain later today and ice in the gutters would have been a serious problem.

yes I have 2 of them and an avalanch.They help but still tear my shoulders up.If the snow was fluffy it wouldnt be bad but a lot of it was packed down making it a very miserable job.
 
You are sure right about that Mark, the snow on my roof was really packed and a pain to get off. My right shoulder is screaming right now from working that pole.
I'm in Grayling, not to far from you.
