Tell us about yourself

Just searching about and found this section. I'm a Kubota Technician in NEC PA. I work for a smaller but growing dealer. I figured I might be able to gain some insight and knowledge on the RTV's here, and in return try to answer some questions.

I've been a "car guy" gearhead for many years, and have a habit of moving into new challenges.

I sawa thread looking for plows for the RTV; Blizzard makes a kit that fits the 900 and the 1100. The difference is the frame under the front end. If anyone wants details, start a thread and I'll post what I know.

I would like to second Two-Guns welcome to this forum. We are very fortunate to have the host that we have. Get ready for some tough issues because the people on this forum seem to me like a well informed group used to solving their own problems. New knowledge is always welcome.

Now it would help if you had considerable time in the seat, too. I am of the old school, the men thatoperate the machines are a great resource of the changes that need to happento their machines.

Welcome

Well, thats why I'm here. I figure you all can educate me and I might be able to add my $.02 to the dollars worth of info that I get in return. For instance, already reading through the posts, I see there was an issue on the front driveshaft. Thats something I can look out for, and make a quick diagnosis when the time comes.

I just hope I can add something thats of value in return for the knowledge I get.

I am 41 & happily married for 10 years. Born and raised in Baltimore, County Maryland. My wife and I decided to quite our jobs to buy a business in Cooke City, MT 6 years ago and have been loving life ever since. We purchased a Kubota L3400 to help around our business & property we just purchased off the mountain. We love our L3400 so we decided to look into the RTV 1100 with the mattracks installed since we have snow up here in Cooke City 8 months out of the year. In the winter they close the road for about 10 miles to our east so I snowmobile out with a big pull sled each week to get supplies. To be honest it is starting to get real old & cold. Really looking forward to a heated cab, we should be getting our RTV next week so I will post some pictures.

Sounds like you have life by the tail ! So glad you and wife are doing well in your business !!! Opening up a business of your own is a big step for anyone. Ya'll took that step and sound like your some very happy folks. Fixin' to be allot happier when that RTV 1100 comes in ~~~~ When you get your new unit, do they also give you back your original tires & wheels. Or give you the option of knocking off the priceif you leave 'em . Don't know, for I don't ever see any ice or snow down here in Louisisna, only mud, water & mosquitoes ~~~
