Thank you! That is Shep (I know, not very original) and he is the family protector. An unbelievable animal, he can understand English, read a GPS, identify road signs (especially rest areas) and bark when danger is present. And danger isn't restricted to intruders; it covers issues like a truck coasting away because someone forgot to set the emergency brake. He once stopped me from dragging my trailer into a tree stump that I missed but he saw because of his position.
Now none of what I posted is a joke, it's all for real. In fact, he typed this entire post...

Great pics. Never cared much for snow but I'd love to have about two foot of it right now down here in Humble, Texas. Of course it would melt in about a half second thus watering my brown pastures.
Great pictures and beautiful place. It must be awesome to sit on the porch in the morning, drinking coffee, and look out at those surroundings.
As for "Shep" being an unoriginal name, you could have called him "Dog" like a guy that I know. Now, that shows a definite lack of imagination.
