Speakers rattling in RTV x1100c

I put a basic radio in my RTV x1100c and hooked it to the built in speakers hidden in the headliner. I had it at max volume when cab noise was loud. Still could barely hear the radio but now it appears I've blow those speakers. :bonk:

What size speakers are in there and how hard is it to change them?

Hey Doc, it's funny you say that. Last night I was running around with my 1100 and had the radio on. Because it was dark outside, I flipped up my sun visors and noticed something weird with the sound. I think they put the speakers under the visors. And totally agree they must be $h!7 speakers, cuz they sound like crap. I will also be looking to replace with something better, and seriously consider relocating them without headliner, and visor muffling. Maybe I'll just reroute/ extend the wires for an alternate speaker location. Instead of cutting holes in the liner, behind the visor. I'm sure if we all work together, we can come up with something brilliant!!

:ROFLMAO: ...I hope we can come up with something brilliant.
I've looked for other mounting points and have not found many options.
I don't have a visor installed. Wish I did. Hoping someone else has come up with something brilliant so we don't have to experiment.

Do you have access to the ROPS from the inside? I've hung speakers from the ROPS on my 900 using the 2" DJ O-Clamps.

I love the enclosed cab but what you loose is the roll bar inside to mount to. I'm in no rush. I do not play the radio that often. Yesterday we went to the store in it, then on to our favorite nearby cave / rock formation. Had air on but no music. Sure is nice to have the a/c option, but it makes the RTV go even slower up the hills. I had to turn it off to get enough power to make it up a couple hills. If I had not turned off a/c I suspect I'd have been going 2mph and struggling.

What size are the speakers?
I'd guess they are 4". They seem small. They are completely hidden from view behind the headliner, and I have not had the urge to tear into the headliner yet. If I find a suitable mounting spot I might never tear into it. I fear if I do it will never look the same.

Well, I tried to get to my hidden speakers. I was foiled by the little plastic clips on the side of the headliner. They have a small Philips head in them with another loose plastic ring / washer around them. Turning the Philips screw just clicks, it never comes out. I tried to pry one out and broke it so I quit until I know more about those dang things.

I changed my speakers yesterday. You just turn the Phillips a little bit until you can pull it out with your fingernails. Then just pup the whole clip out.
