The rtv is so useful when cleaning up yards after ice storms! These buggies have so many uses around the farm. What do you do with yours? pics?

I agree. So useful. Mine carried all t wood to build the docks in these pics. It's 3/4 mile of trails to the river from my house. Along the way we had a mud slide after the heavy snow storm earlier this month. We have a mess to clean up, trail repair to do, docks to fix. The RTV will haul all the tools down and the trash out.

pics of the damage, all taken yesterday.

Wow Doc looks like you have your work cut out for you and your buggie. Was all that debris caused by high water due the the melting and run off from the snow storm. Good luck with the trail and dock repairs and the clean up! :tiphat:

the dock mess was caused by high water. The tree down was the high winds prior to the snow, and the road slippage was the rain I presume. This was the first I had been down there this year, but my SIL was there a month ago and none of the damage was done. SIL is heading down here tomorrow and we are going to get started on the clean up. Might end up needing a dozer and to blow up a huge rock the size of a car to make the road wider. Dozer was there last year but could not move the rock by itself in the time I was willing to pay for.

Looks like a lot trash needs hauled out of the river too.
..or pushing it into the river and let it float away. We do save a lot of the debris for firewood. Appears we'll have plenty of firewood this season, and maybe next. :D

Nice, what's the size on those tires and rims, do they rub at all?

Thanks
Matt

Hey Matt, those are 12x8 wheels and 27x10 on front and 27x12 on the back. Have not had any rub problems at all and have had it in some really rough places. I got the tires and wheels from orangeaftermarket.com. Still have the springs in the middle setting that machine came with and no problems.

I'm asking cause I don't know but is there any reason why the front tires aren't the same size as the back or is it just preference?

Thanks for the info,
Matt

heading to the burn pile. One of many trips Looks like we will have a big Bon fire soon. Love the dump bed.

I am confused. I have always been told that on a 4WD vehicle all 4 wheels/tires have to be the same diameter, or there will be undue stress on transmission/transfer case.

Same diameter but the width is different to reduce stress and resistance to steering.

Matt the back tires are a little bit wider than the front. Supposedly if you go through mud and the front tires make ruts the wider back tires will still get ahold of something solid on the side of the ruts. With that being said, I just thought it looked cool!! :tiphat:

Great pic 71sschevelle, I have had some trees go down into my pond and the Kubota worked great to drag them to the burn pile also. First time I used buggie for that it amazed me just how strong it pulled. Pulled them right out of the pond and up the hill. Just kinda squatted down and pulled like a champ. It sure pulls things a lot better than the Polaris that I used to have. :bonk:

Makes sense to me and it sure looks nice.
