Purchased some 1/4" x 2' x 4' recycled rubber mat material from Tractor Supply. Fabricated the 2 sets of flaps and installed. Hopefully they will be better than the factory's. I don't know how long the recycled rubber material will last. Time will tell. As you can see in the photos, it should give the RTV better protection from gravel and mud. My cost was $12 for the material.
