If anyone has the time and have one of these pieces of gold can you do me a favor and grab some measurements for me?
As in length collapsed diameter possible length extended?
Im going to try to pick one up and see if I can make my own system so I dont have to spend the 1500 from Jipbota

Thanks

Mark

Mark, I can measure this for you tomorrow. I shredded my fan belt today (original '05) but can crank it long enough to get down to the barn and park under the shed with the bed up. Such crazy weather, I know the alternator isn't charging without the belt so I don't want the engine exposed to the rain if we get more . I've been cutting on fallen trees since the stormy winds this week. bordercollie

Thanks I appreciate it.
I know about this crazy weather. Were still getting snow here in Michigan.
Got 6 inches of rain in 2 days here last week.
And Yes a belt helps a lot lol
My Bota is all set now new joints no vibrations new tires new high rise air intake net joint at trans for 4 wheel drive shaft. All is quiet now and runs great.since 2004 I have worked the poop out of this Machine and its still going strong at 2000 hours.
I hope you get your fixed soon as I know how hard it is to do without it if even for a day.

Regards

Mark

bordercollie, if i understand what you said about the bed up with the engine off, i think the lever to raise and lower the bed has a float position that will let the bed come down engine running or not

That's right. But unless I can get the battery charged, I can't raise the heavy thing back up because my tool box is loaded. I first noticed the battery light on as I locked the gate going home so the alternator had quit working with the belt being broken. My plan is to park it under the barn and leave it up with the safety in place till I replace the belt. Thanks, Bordercollie

The cylinder itself is 14 1/4" long, the arm extended from the top of the cylinder is 9 3/4", and the total overall length from the bottom of the cylinder to the pin of the extended arm is 24". Hope this helps.

Mark, Here are a few of the pictures I took. I only posted the ones that aren't already here. One shows the release/raise cable going to the valve. Another shows the quick disconnects at the valve, the fluid return hose goes from the tank to the rear of the valve just below the release cable. Please forgive the mud- it's due for a cleaningand the picture with the filters showing needs to be rotated.. Let me know if you need more info. bordercollie

BORDERCOLLIE;
If it makes a difference the underside of my dump box was waxed...... That must be so when it is raised it looks as good as the top side, I think.

How is the project going? Was looking at doing the same thing, looks like it could be accomplished for around $600.

Agent Blue, Ha. My machine looks as good underneath as it does on top too! haha. bordercollie

Hey Big Al, what size 12v self contained pump and cylinder, with the above dimensions that you sell, would work with the bed?

Or....what about the KYB MMP lift that is available for Kawasaki Mules?

Havnt made any progress yet as it got put on the back burner for a bit till I get caught up on spring cleaning.
I have a friend looking for a cylinder for me then Ill have to find a pump.
Im trying to do this on a low to zero budget for now.
To many things to catch up on at the moment.
The 500 for tires and U joints put me back a tad.
If any one comes across a pump that would work (12 volt) let me know.
