RTV 900 and or 1000 series hydraulic pump differences

Hey guys. What is the additional line in the picture attached in the back of the hydraulic pump does anyone know?

Yep. The one withbthe line uses a hydraulic piston to dampen the swash and the one without the line uses a spring and piston arrangement. I am unsure if the rotating valve assy inside is the same displacement or not.
 
Thank you. Any way to figure out capacities. Is one superior to the other. Reason I’m asking is my original unit is the one without the line and I, going to install the one with the line in anticipation there is no major difference. I think the one with the line is from an older unit and a x900. Mine is an 1140 and a 2019 I believe.

I'm not sure but i doubt the displacement is the same. You could go to the parts book and compare the differences? Especially the rotating valve assembly. I would think that the unit from a 900 has less than the 1140? I may be wrong. Take a micrometer to the cups and see? Count the number of cups also. Let us know what you find out
