RTV 500 WILL NOT MOVE

Hello,
New to this Forum and just learning about my RTV.

My RTV 500 has 200 hours. I was driving today in H gear on flat surface and the Rtv just coasted to a stop. The engine has same rpm but the machine wont move. It will shift too any gear but still won't move. I raised rear off ground and in N only one tire spins when I manualy turn it. In 2H The tires spin opposite when I turn them manually. Therefor I believe my axle and shift lever are working fine.
When I start the engine the bypass relief actuater does not pop out toward the brake cam as it is supposed too. What would cause this too happen out of the blue? Could the pressure relief valve be stuck?
All fluids are good. WHERE SHOULD I START?
ARE THERE ANY SENSORS IN THE HST THAT COULD CAUSE THIS?
THANKS.

first things first. change the filters and look in them for metal filings or peaces of rubber etc. look for loose or broken linkages and collapsed hoses on the suction side. does it sound different?

Changed all fluids and filters. All hoses and linkages seem fine. Which valve would prevent fluid from engaging the final drive. I don't want to take the transmission apart if I don't have to. It seems weird that it would go from running to nothing in onr second.

Do you have the service manual for your machine? If not, review some past posts where you can acquire one.

By the way, welcome to the forum. Wish I could be more of a help fixing your machine problem.

I don't have a 500 and i personally haven't had this problem but i do remember some old post a long time ago where someone experienced a similar problem, and it turned out to be the splines in one of their rear axle hubs was stripped and would only slip when all four where on the ground. i remember that when they jacked it up and turned the tire by hand they couldn't get it to slip so they continually thought it was a tranny problem. also remember in a really old post several years ago a member warned that the brakes could lock up and cause a no go situation. hope this helps some

I will order the manual on Monday. I have no drive to any wheel on machine even with diff lock engaged. It is not the brakes because the wheels turn by hand. If anyone can give me info on the 500 tranny valves it would help. I am able to find a lot of info on the larger models but not much on the 500.

Hummmm... I don't have a 500- but I would check all linkage in case a pin fell out..leaving it disconnected . collie

I know this is an old thread but my 2015 Kubota RTV 500 did the same thing. Driving down the road and it stopped going. Won’t go forward or backwards. No symptoms leading up to that. Linkage is working as it should going into froward and reverse Since I took cable off and switched lever manually. Machine will push so brakes aren’t stuck. Transmission fluid and filter was changed at 310 hours and machine has 360 on it now. Fluid level is full. Was planning to drain fluid and verify it has no debris in it from an internal failure. I have a second RTV 500 that I can remove parts from to verify but wasn’t sure where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

No it’s been changed regularly just saying last transmission change was done at 310 hours and now has 360 hours. Wasn’t a problem where the fluid was changed now it won’t work. Fluid is full and looks clean.

Update: Pulled 2015 RTV 500 into shop and output shaft from motor to hydro pump was snapped off. It was a clean break so no other damage. Thanks for the help...979705C8-24CF-4343-9528-E921C5923AD1.jpegA5F31634-799F-4970-8FEC-03357A787150.jpegBA58A1F4-89E3-4F34-8CB7-6D73E84E04AC.jpeg

Do you think it broke because something in the hydro locked up or metal fatigue in the shaft?
No it works as it should after putting the new part in. My 13 year old daughter and her cousin were driving it with the radio on and I am sure they didn’t come to a complete stop when putting it into forward/reverse. I am sure that wasn’t the first time they did that so I am assuming it was slowly breaking. We use this machine on our 30 acres and never pull or overload it so not completely stopping would be my only guess.

How did you remove the transmission? Does it come out from the bottom with the engine? I have to replace my transmission due to the case being rotten from a salt spreader on the back
