RTV 1100 question

I am buying a 2008 RTV 1100. Can someone measure the inside tire to inside tire width? I may have to rent a U Haul auto transport trailer to haul it home and want to see if it will fit since those trailers are not a solid deck trailer. I will be hauling this about 250 miles, so I will be sure I have it tied down several different places.

Thanks!
James

James, Kubota.com states the most narrow tire center to center dimension is 45.3 inches with 11 inch wide tires. That would give the inside tread width of 34.3". This dimension is for a new 1100.

Hope this helps?

God Bless,

Philip

Just went out and measured the 2010 and I got 35ish" with the wheels slightly turned, so 34.3 looks about right.

Wish you were close. I've got trailers that will haul as many as you want.
Or trailer that will haul just one.

I would be more than happy to let you use one. Where are you located ?

Is this the only time you are going to need a trailer for the RTV ?

We know some down here that uses there trailer to haul the machines, and when they get to where they are going. Unload utility vehicle and then
hook the trailer behind it and use the trailer as needed.

I have a 6x12 trailer that I just hauled a RTV900 on. Worked out great.
Like others said, if you were close you could sure use it.

Where bouts are you?

Welcome to the Forum:

Keep in mind also as you make plans to haul, the weight of an RTV1100 is around 2470 lbs. Also, be sure you have the machine tied down in accord with your state law.

Come on back anytime and let us know how you and the Kubota are doing.

And cover the windshield or tow it backwards if it has a screen over the back window. A little rock can cost you a lot.

Thanks for the info! I am located in central OH. I was going to borrow a landscape trailer from my friend, but I worry about blowing a tire or something like that. He doesn't have a spare with the trailer. I figure if a tire goes on the U Haul trailer, they will bring me another trailer. Maybe it is wishful thinking! I am going to go measure the U Haul trailer tonight.

Thanks for the other tips also!

Being it's your friend. Personally, I would buy him a spare for letting me borrow his trailer. And then, you will have a spare, good friend, and a
RTV home to enjoy ....

Or

Purchased yourself a trailer, that way you will ALWAYS have your own and will have a way to tow RTV where-ever one needs to go.

Sorry, but I just could not live without a trailer. Never can remember not having a few trailers around.

Do yourself a favor, and go price some trailers. :2gunsfiring_v1:

A little over 30 years ago I was working in Ga, & got a transfer to Texas. Had a motorcycle to haul. After pricing a 1-way U-haul, I found & purchased a use trailer for about the same price. A set of tires & lights later, I had a trailer to also haul it from Texas home to Florida, and any use I needed after that.
Good luck!

I'm a buckeye ... on the east coast of Ohio. Right on the river. If you want to borrow my trailer w/ spare you can. I bought new tires and rims before heading out to pick up my RTV last December, so all is in good shape.

New owner

Well, I was able to get the Kubota RTV 1100 home on Tuesday. I rented a trailer from my local Tractor Supply Company. I do have an enclosed car trailer, but it is in storage until April and the Kubota is too tall to fit inside.
So far I am liking the 1100. It has a Boss V plow on it and it plows awesome! The heat will roast you out. I just ordered an owners manual for it so I can keep up on maintenance items. Anything I should keep an eye on? How often for fluid/filter changes?

Thanks!
James

Spring for the high intake kit for the air cleaner. It will make the very expensive filter last 100 times longer.

Wow James, that looks nice, congrats. I'm in central Ohio as well.
For parts and fluids you have an excellent dealer in Hilliard, White Acres Implement.

Looks Great !!!

These RTV's makes one smile a very long time. ( and even in their sleep )

Congrtats on the new RTV and getting her home. :thumb: Very nice. Awesome looking plow. Hoping that scares off the snow for the rest of this season at least. I like the lights mounted up there to. Very NICE!!!!!!!!!!!

The lights are great! They are LED and they are super bright. I can't believe how much they help. The 1100 is a large unit..it takes up 3/4 of my storage shed with the plow on. My wife thinks it looks goofy with the large cab on it...maybe I should have bought a 900!
