Rototiller Roto-ette

Found these attachments to a 1947 (I think) Roto-ette, the precursor to Troy-Bilt. Two 19" Mow Tiller decks, and a 32" Snow Plow (Plow Pics in next post). Also the frame (yellow) with wheels, but no engine, transmission or tines. Anyone interested in old tillers? I shouldn't strip and paint, huh?

And here are the Snow plow pics. Neither it nor the decks have ever been used. Heh, not much call for a snow plow down here.

Kewl old stuff. Good find. Did you find them at an estate sale and buy them, or did you find them in the back of your barn? From the pics they look well made. I bet they are worth a few bucks to anyone who collects that kind of stuff.

Heh. Feed store was throwing them away on the side of the road. Unused, I guess they would be NOS? I can't resist a deal like that. Paint flaking with bare metal in some spots. Some spots with new rust like spilled vinegar.

Of course, I had to take the other thing, too. A 108" signpost made from 3 1/2X1/4" pipe with a 14X14X1/2" base. Very good welds, never used. 8 holes around perimeter of base to bolt to concrete. Flagpole base or trailer crane? Decisions, decisions.

Dug a little deeper into Troy-Bilt history (I also have a Horse II). Rototiller incorporated in 1932, so that (according to 25th Anniversary decal on the snow plow) would make them 1957 models. Rototiller, Inc. and Roto-ette lasted until 1961.

The signpost was/is heavy. My back hurts.
