My wife somehow managed to bend the stink out of the bucket level indicator rod...the only way to get it back into some kind of straight is to remove the whole assembly from the loader itself...

so my question is - can i safely remove the pin? The pin just needs to slide over a bit so i can get the bracket out, the pin does not need to come out completely.

details: TC33D with 7308 loader

I'm thinking I want the bucket down, with all power off, and all "tension" released via the joystick. Will this release all pressure from the cylinder?

here's the pin I'm referring to (where the bucket cylinder connects to the top frame):

Yes. That sounds about right to me. If you really want to make sure there is not pressure on the cylinder then crack the fitting on the hose that does to that side.

Yup, once you turn the engine off, wiggle the joystick to make sure all the pressure is released, and you should be quite safe to drive the pin out.

Let us know how this turns out.

OBTW, what software do you use to draw the arrow?

thanks for the inputs...if you hear on the news this weekend about a Maryland man with a hydraulic ram thru his head, you'll know who it was :tiphat:

I used Paint Shop Pro for the arrow...I use a $5k CAD package every day as a job, but for stuff like that, cheapie graphics programs work wonders.

oh good! then it will be on the local news for you guys...

I'm about 20 miles east of Fredneck...just north of Mt Airy, MD

we go thru your neck of the woods on the way to Dulles

If the :shitHitsFan:Be sure Channel 5 is there. their news is at 10. I usually fall asleep before the 11 PM news comes on.

We're 11 miles west of Leesburg, north of Purcellville.
