rear ujoint/axel replacement

New member
New user... I have an 04 RTV, was the first to buy one from the dealer in my area. I have a problem with the rear ujoints and/or axels and they need replcement..... any help on the magnitude of the job at hand. ? How do you get the rear axels out ?? Any help appreciated
 
Welcome to Net Tractor Talk, the biggest forum for RTV advice. I don't own an RTV, so I can't help much, but someone will be along soon who has done it or knows what it takes.
 
Hi enforcer. I did this for my unit and so have several other members. I started a thread with some pictures so you might find them helpful.I bumped it but here is a link:
http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13788&page=3 You will need to take off the "bumper" and both sides of the axlesl just sort slip out when you remove the "bumper so I would definitely do both sides at the same time if it were me.. Taking it to KUBOTA will rip me a new one. Cant really complain though. 2004 model and this is the first time anything has needed to be replaced.

I would post them but I have doubts about posting the copywrited material on the forum. bordercollie

edit: It is such a pain to replace these, that I replaced the inners and outers on both sides at the same time. It is rewarding and you do save a lot of money over what K wants for the job. bordercollie
