Preventing rot on dump body

I was just blowing out the tiny joint between the head wall and bottom of my RTV X1100C dump body and realized that in just two years quite a bit of material has accumulated in the rail under the joint between the head wall and the floor of the dump body. With the dump body up I blew compressed air into the crack and then went under the rail on the bottom and tons of debris flew out (wear glasses!). Did this many times until all the debris was blown out - it took a while. Glad I found this void as even with the protective coating I am sure that this would have hastened the rotting process. I haul firewood, sand, stone, wood chips, etc., so over time the little things worked their way down the small joint. I wash my machine regularly, but regular washing just makes it wet and will not drive it out.
