Parking Brake Alarm

I have occasionally driven off with the parking brake partially engaged, and although I have realized it not too soon after, it is easy to do - especially if the brake is not pulled really tight. To help prevent this I installed a noncontinuous beeper. It does work and although a bit of an annoyance, it is cheap insurance. It took all of 15 minutes to install once I identified the proper wires in the harness. The sound of the alarm can be dampened somewhat to soften the annoyance factor. This is on my RTV X1100C.

No kit - just a beeper and a bit of wire and connectors. I used 3M Scotch Loc connectors (two port and three port) cut into the green/black switched ground from the parking brake switch and one of the pink switch "hot" wires. I mounted the beeper with velcro to the firewall behind the wire harness. Sorry the pictures are a bit out of focus.
