Hello all,

Got my RTV delivered today. I've taken a few spins about and really think this will be great.

On question, has anyone else noticed black mold on the underside of the bench seat? Specifically under the driver's side.

Nope, never heard of it, is it something that can be cleaned off ?

ARE YOU FOR SURE IT'S MOLD ?

Might have got wet during shipment, then put up in a warm building or something, and the air being really still. Don't believe you have anything to worry about !!!!

You need to worry on how fast you can put ALL them accessories on it. From High Air Intake, winches, bed-liners, radios, and the list never stops ~~ the sky is the limit !!!!!

TwoNfordboy, Here I am a grown man standing outside at midnight, in his boxers with a flash-light looking for mold under my seats.!! Didn't see any mold BUT I did find a set of chop sticks....must have made mine during lunch!!!!! Frank

Dammit,

I had to go again and look myself, this ain't funny . ..... I didn't find any....

TwoNfordboy ,

You better hope it's just mold . And not somebody on the Kubota assembly production line in a bind, and slipped and done the # 2 thing in your RTV. And forgot to do the proper paperwork [:$]~~~~

Might think about getting one of them " hang on the mirror, air fresheners things " ....

Don't worry, we will not call you " the rotton egg " ~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~ just a jokin' ~~~~~~~~[:D]
What did you get, the 900 worksite, rec , general purp , or the 1100 with air !!!!
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new RTV!!!
Is the mold on the bottom of the seat itself (on the plywood or foam) or under the seat on the plastic?
Like others, I don't have mold under my seat (but got lucky that I was under the seat yesterday instead of having to go outside in my tighy-whiteys and flashlight).
It's a relatively small area so you can clean it pretty easily or if it's the seat cushion, talk to the dealer about swapping it out.
A couple notes:
Watch your key when you flip the seat forward.
I put a strap from the underside of the seat to the plastic below to stop the seat from hitting the dash.
I also drilled a couple drain holes in the small storage space under the passenger side to let any water that may gather drain out.
Yea, it is mold. That black sort of mold. It seems to be due to water (duh) sitting on top of a rubber flap just below the seat. I have contacted the dealer and in the meantime I will try some bleach and water. No mold on the foam, just on the plywood.
As for accessories on my worksite variant RTV, they are: Warn 3000lb. winch, metal roof, turn & hazard signals, speedometer, glove box, underhood storage tray, factory ATV tires, and.....
I will probably add something to raise the front and sides of the bed to carry more stuff and perhaps the front hood rack and some flood lights.
OK, let us know what the dealer says/does.
If you haven't already, do a search on the forum about these particular accessories.
A couple notes to give you an idea.
Not one person that got the glovebox found it to be worth the money. If you do still want to get it, (at least historically), it was a lot cheaper to buy the individual components than the box as a unit.
Same issue (bang for the buck) is about the same as the underhood storage tray. there's a recent thread where people are developing their own out. (e.g. a marine battery box). On a related note, if you get the front hood rack, you may find it too cumborsome to get to that front storage box to actually use it.
Warn or Ramsey winches are great selections. Consider whether a wireless remote may be worthwhile.
That's great that they are replaceing the seat >>>
I would'nt want skid marks on the bottom of my seat either !!!!!! [:D]
I'll second that.
GULP. I just looked up the turn signal kit (since it's something I don't have).
Turn signal / hazard kit - V4237
Retail Price: $236.00
I think I'll stick with my roof mounted strobe light.
BTW - If you are going to get it, just be aware they're not compatable with winshields (which are a very common and preferred accessory).
