Just installed a ROPS Umbrella
South Texas SUN will get unbearable.
We are already hitting the 90's with overcast skies.

Nice, I like the one pin to remove it when needed.

I was thinking about one of those the other day, where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?

Tractor Supply
Online Order Only, $69
Ordered on Thursday, received today.

Yes, pull one pin the the Umbrella is off, is very nice.
Considering that right now the tractor is stored outside, that is convenient.

Hmmmm, I may have to look into that. I don't know if I spend enough time in the sun to warrant it though. If the umbrella is removed, how far does the mounting system stick above the ROPS? My ROPS just fits under the door but am concerned this would stick out above and be a problem.

Notice it's John Deere yellow? :) That'll match my tractor nicely.

How stout is it? Could it take scrapes from small branches and such?

Looks good. I have a hard canopy and it made a world of difference in mowing. I like your price much better than what mine cost too. Wouldn't have made me cry when a tree limb snapped back and cracked the edge of it.:pat:

As far as the additional height. that would depend on the ROPS. Mine has a rearward lean and I had to reverse the clamp so the pole is almost straight. It adds a couple of inches in height with the clamp and the pole.

The default color from Tractor Supply is yellow. If you got it direct, the say that there are other colors.

The Rods are fairly sturdy (probably 1/4 steel) and the canvas is really thick with reinforcements at the grommets and doubled at the center.

Very nice. That would sure do the job, and it looks easy to install. :thumb:

That sure looks "cute".

My answer to the the heat problem, as well as the dust and the bugs, was to get another tractor with a cab. Your solution is a hell of a lot cheaper. It sure would be nice though on the B2400 that I use for mowing the yard and doing other other stuff around the place.

Thanks, I may have to look into it.
