My View (Pictorial Thread of Home)

To the left of that zip line, a couple buildings.

As you can see, I'm in a valley. Can't see more than 1000' in any direction and that's in the fall when the leaves are gone. But at least I don't get damaging winds like the tops of the hills.

Y'all have way better views!!! Great pics.

Here's the first pic I found. The back yard zip line for the kids (and adults).
My woods go up the left side of the picture to the top (almost 1/4 mile).

And where are you located??

Cornerstone, another place in this wonderful land that I've not been to, Maryland. All of your pictures have a peacefulness about them. :)

I'm a bit disappointed that we've had 225 viewings of this thread that didn't post pics..... As can be seen by the postings, everyone has something to contribute!!!! :)

when looking through my pictures on my iPad almost all were pictures of wildlife and not the landscape. I did find a picture of two palm trees my wife and I planted a few years ago. They have done better than we hoped in middle Tennessee.

They've done very well. Wonder how they survive your Winter?? Well, obviously just fine. I should have said, I didn't think they could survive Winter??

So in the scheme of things you are kinda/sortta close to Cornerstone. :)
Yep, sort of. In hill country, if you're on top of the hill, you have the view. If at the bottom (valley), you have the moderate climate. At the bottom, it kind of sucks. I was born/raised on awesome sunsets. We don't get those here. That said, I'll be driving through WV, MD?, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL in the next week.

We put some Christmas lights on them to help when temps below 10 degrees . We trim them in spring , fertilize and so far they have re bounded in the summer.

Since we're talking about trees......

This tree is on my family farm. Been there all my life +. In my memory it's always been this size. It's at the end of a pond dam. I often sit under it's shade sipping a Beer and enjoying life. Some day it'll probably decide to fall on me. That's okay. I think it's majestic. A mighty oak with determination. :)

Awesome tree with plenty of character.

Still on the tree gig. Okay,,,,, I stole this one.

Here's a pic that a friend of mine from Southeast Missouri sent me. I believe he took it during the '93 floods near the Mississippi River. Hey,,, it's from Missouri at least. :)

And the hired help

I've got a picture somewhere of my dog tangling with a coyote. Well, actually by the time I got my phone out and took the picture it's of my dog retreating back to the tractor after tangling with a coyote. I'll search til I find it. He was all about it until the coyote stopped running and laid on it's back...... :)
