Loader hydraulic questions

I had always been keeping an eye out for a loader for my tractor ever since I bought it, just to make it more useful.
Anyway, a chap came in at work looking for a hydraulic fitting. Found him one, and we got chatting etc. Turned out he was taking a loader off his tractor and lived just down the road.....
Couple of days later deal done.

Got a 245 loader, bucket, grab, pallet forks, 2 dung forks and a spare QA plate.
I think I paid a good price, even though it was more than I wanted to spend.
Big attachments are alot more expensive than those for GTs!

So far its taken me 3 evenings to fit the brackets to the tractor. Everything it just so damn heavy and I am working on my own.
Think its all on there, just need to test fit the loader and fit the hydraulics.
We put it in the trailer with his telehandler. However, I have no way of getting it out the trailer, so I will have to try and prop it up high enough to get the tractor in. Once I have got the hydraulic lines hooked up I can get it on the brackets and then we are away.

Anyway, I need to hook up the hydraulics. My tractor is a 1640, serial number is 431510L and I believe I have closed center hydraulics.
Am I right in thinking that I need to T into the pressure line going to the spool block?
And then just T into the return.
In the housing around the trans filter I have a fitting going into it. Can I return into this fitting into the bottom of the trans filter casing?

You are correct. Connect the return to the filter cap port and tee into the pressure line for the rear hydraulic valves. Congrats on the loader purchase! It looks like it's in good shape. A coat of paint will freshen it up for you.

Success!

Still got a few bits to hook up, like the line to the trans for the regen on the bucket circuit.

Bucket is rotten on the bottom, all the hoses need replacing and the pins are quite worn. This I all knew when I bought it and considered it in my offer.
Other than that it seems to work OK. The steering is very heavy towards the end of the travel, I think the tyres need air. It was much better when I hooked the topper on the back.

It took me 2 hours to get the loader off the trailer and into a position where I could hook it up. I am absolutely beat now!
