Lift Kit and Tire size

So far i've seen that there is a 2" lift kit offered, how big of tires could you put under the RTV with and without the lift? Just got one the other day and would like a bit more clearance and need better bite in the mud and clay than what the Stock "ATV" tires offer.

I'm sure I'll be bugging you guys about other stuff later, when I get some more wheel time.

think I am going to stick with the 589 ITP's, 26". For reasons, I don't want to deal with the lift kit installation. I measured the 27" 589's, they are 27 1/2" tall. Might and might not rubb on hilly or rough terrain, they shouldn't rubb on flat ground. Which, that's 99% of the ground I run on( flat ground ), but if I ever go into a rough place, I don't really want to take the chance of the tires a rubbing at all. Plus, I believe that the 27" will probobly let me go just about three feet further. So, I can deal with that . But, I haven't crossed that bridge yet. I will just have to play it by ear when the time comes to make that "aggressive tire" purchase. For now,

I am running the Kubota ATV ground grips and will run them up into the middle November, until the swamps really start getting nasty. If you will look on this forum, there is some good questions and answers on the tire & lift subject. In your case, depending on your situation, you might want to get the

XDFL,

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new RTV.

As Two Guns noted, 27" is about the max without the lift kit. On rough terrain or under heavy load, you may get an occasional rub.

The lift kit is listed as 2" but if/as I recall, you don't get quite that much out of it.

How aggressive of a tire do you think you want to get? The 589's are pretty darn aggressive and therefore work great in mud and sand but they're hard on lawns and such. I, and many others are very happy with the all-around performance of the Maxxis Bighorns.

Thank you both for the input! The RTV will be used for Farm use75% of the time and the other 25% will be hunting & Offroad. I don't want something that will be tearing up pasture or yard doing 10 in a straight line... but I would like more bit than the 25"s that come with it. AlsoI have had it high centered twice by about1" where the extra clearance could have saved the time of winching...Whatever I put on will be staying until they are worn out so I would like to do it right the first time.

I appreciate your help and will look into the fore mention tires.
