Yea, they've been throwing in the alphabet in the last couple decades.
10th character is an E. That means it's 2014.
If/when you need to decode in the future, do an internet search for "VIN year decoder" and it'll tell you the letter/number code for each year.
For those looking at this thread in the future, if you have an old RTV where there was only 16 characters in the VIN, the 9th digit/character denotes the year.
