Hi, I'm new here and have been reading alot of the posts on here. I have 2014 Kubota 1120XD and it has around 35 hours. It was bought used with only a few hours on the clock, but it won't go over 21 MPH even on a 5 degree down cline. I've read the posts on cleaning the spark stopper, but mine only has one screw on the bottom of the muffler. I hit with a rubber mallet, but nothing came out of the muffler. I've checked the Hyd fluid and it was good and have also checked air filters and they were also clean.

Also, I have a nice Superwinch 4500lb winch that I might install. Can I just mount on the bumper itself or do you have to buy a mount for a winch?

One other thing, I plan on buying some stick stoppers from peanut, but do I need them just for the front or for all 4?

Welcome. I have a 2014 x1100c and it only did about 21 or so when I got it. Shifted hard also. Dealer came out and adjusted the hydrostat. He adjust a bit and we go run it around to see how it worked. Took 4 times of doing this. It does 25/26 now and shifts smoothly now. I have the Super winch Terra 45-SR and it bolted right up. Two sets of mounting holes, you well use the wider set. Can't help on the stick stoppers, thou from everything I read here they are very well liked. I have the Kubota accessory steel ones on the front and factory set on the rear of mine. They have worked out fine for the conditions I ride in.

Welcome to the Forum. Lots of good folks/advice found here. I can't speak to your lack of speed issue but it sounds like a trip to a Kubota dealership IMHO.

As far as the stick stoppers, I have a set from Peanut installed on the front of my 1100 and can't say enough good things about them. Research through past posts on here and you will find the same information on the stick stoppers and Peanuts craftsmanship.

I adjusted the bolt under the foot throttle and was able to get it upto 27MPH downhill, so that is much better than the 21MPH before. It will sometime shift smoothly, but anytype grade it is very hard to shift. I might need to pay to take to a dealer and have them adjust for smooth shifting.

Those stick stoppers look real nice.

Does anyone add any treatment to their buggy? I have some Lucas fuel treatment and just bought some Diesel Kleen to try.

hard shifting

Make sure you press the brake firmly when going to shift, this dumps the hydro pressure allowing it to shift. I sent you a PM and I have some info in a PDF format that may help. It is for the X1100 but i am sure yours is about the same.

I use Power Service or Sea Foam.

My diesel was treated with Power Service when I bought it... 5+ years ago. Still runs like new.

The trans adjustment took care of all of the hard shifting. Now it shifts easily cold, uphill or downhill. I'm real happy with it. I had a turbo added awhile back and they had to make some adjustments for the turbo, but it still shifts well. I've been using Howells. With the low suffer I feel it's in my best interest to add a fuel treatment.
