Is this how it should be?

Hello my friends, while out putting hours on my recent 04 kubota 900 dieasel an making sure its up to par for my mountain an cabin tasks ,I wanted to (without gauges) test my hydrolics out as far as the drive train.
So I put the nose of the machine up against a heavy truck bumper, put my rtv in low range an depressed my accelerator pedal, the machine had good hard dirt for traction, an the rear tires just barely spun, I should say only rotated about 6 inches an that was it. Is that normal? Or should have the tires spun? I do know on my dads tractor with the same platform the tractor does the same as the rtv but that doesn't make it ok. Basically I'm concerned an want to make sure my trans an hydrolics is operating properly.is there a way I can test this in the drivers seat or do I need to just use gauges? I do have a friend of mine that rebuilds these completely as well as the trans cases on them ,but I try not to bother him.once I have done all I can,I am calling him an he offered to check everything over an do adjustments if necessary, but like I said,I'd like to do all I possibly can first so mayb you guys have input on how or if I can check the power from driving it to see if there's any issues.im actually nervous about this it drives fine in all ranges,,an in 4x4. I started at the bottom of a very large dirt pile, put my rtv in 4 low, pushed the accelerator pedal an I climbed the pile going basically straight up!! Great traction an climbed beautiful.but also no weight in it,just myself.so how should these work? (React)
Thanks again everyone
Derek

I'd say that's normal. If you're in 2-wheel drive, you may get some spinning, 4WD not so much. If you mash the go-pedal to the floor it'll probably just sit there. If you hit the go-pedal to about 1/2 way, it may spin.

Thank you again.
I'm going to post a new youtube video soon because I mounted a police car spotlight to the front an it really is nice being able to direct the light where its needed!!

For a spotlight, I put a Go-Light Stryker on top of my RTV. It can turn a full 360 degrees and has a wired and wireless remote. They've gotten pretty pricey so if I was to do lighting again, I don't know if I'd get the same light.
I also have a hand-held spotlight inside the cab (looking at the pic, it's inside the windshield on the passenger side.

Thats terrific! I looked at a lot of different lights an ideas, but at the end of the day, my friend that has a local salvage yard has lots of the police car lights for 50$ each. So the price was my final determination factor.im definitely happy an it took a bit was able to keep it inside the cab so when I make or add doors it won't be in the way.

Lessee now…. it drives great in 2 WD … 4WD also….and runs up hills with alacrity just fine…. but spins it’s rear tires when pushed up against an immoveable object….Hmmmnnn…… I think you’d best let your “friend” wrench on it until it DOESN’T do what it was designed for.

(just messin’ wid ya’…. Don’t go looking for unnecessary trouble if it does what it’s supposed to do. Don’t Worry. Be Happy.)

You mis-read I believe,it does not spin its rear tires ar all when its up against a big object, which is why it wS concerning possibly.
