Dang, that's almost a 30% increase. I hope my tractor doesn't go up that much. I get the bill for that in May.

So, what is the deal with Kubota insurance? Do you still carry insurance on the RTV through your homeowners/farm policy? I initially gave my insurance broker a list of tractors/UTV's with serial # and the amount I wanted to insure them for and that is it. I recently sent them and e-mail asking to remove the Mule and add the RTV. I will get a bill in the mail for the difference in $ as I have already paid my "farm" policy for the year.

This is a "ALL RISK' Protection Policy. Protection ON & OFF your Property. Transportation Cost Included !!!
Covers :
In Transit
Fire
Theft
Accidental Damage
Collision
Flood
Roll-Over
Vandalism

Some insurance policies will protect your all-terrain vehicle while it is stored in your garage, but not while you are using it off the property.
I'm not going to chance anything.

I know of two people that has used that KTAC Insurance. And both said it was
the best insurance they have ever had.

I can't believe your insurance is so cheap, my RTV insurance was $358 for one year with similar coverage to two guns.

I went through Wawanisa, I didn't know Kubota carried insurance, did you buy it from the dealer or from Kubota on line. It was never mentioned for my RTV or tractor.

Thanks two guns, I'm going to give them a call. I hope they have coverage in Canada.

Sorry ..... This came off the KTAC Insurace Page :
http://ktacinsuranceagency.com/
Policy is offered and valid only to residents located in the fifty states of the United States of America. Policy is not available for U.S. districts and territories, Canada, or Mexico.

Call them anyway and see what they have to say. They might have a alternate offering ....

I financed part of the purchase price on my tractor with Kubota, back in 02, and Kubota required proof of insurance, but did not mention they sold the insurance. Maybe they were not selling it that long ago, or my dealer really missed the boat on that.

Jamie what is the difference in the two? Both are Kubota, right?

Yes,
The top (800) numbers are what is on the letterheads of the mail & e-mails I recieve.
The number (770), is the number I have to goes directly to staff at the Southeast Division of Kubota Corp.

Is that what you were asking about ?

Dang. I think mine is something like $80-90 for full coverage + $250K liability.

Mine is listed on my auto policy. To put it on the farm owners it would only be covered in "farm related activities". Under the auto it's covered no matter what.

BTW, if your RTV or similar equipment is to "maintain the resident premises", it's normally covered under your homeowners. That's how my tractors, ZTR... are insured. My RTV fell under this category until our State required ATVs/RTVs and similar to be registered vehicles. Once that happened, they now have to have their own policy.

Kubota insurance is great for covering damage to your kubota, but it doesn't have any liability coverage. I felt I needed I needed the liability coverage since I sometimes had passengers in the rtv.
