How long did your RTV-X Battery Last?

My 2014 x900 (new to me in Sept 2014) still has the original battery. The RTV sat from early November 2024 until a week ago, and still had plenty of "crank". I expected it to be "dead", but it wasn't. Up until November I used it almost daily. Occasionally it would set for a few days, but not months. Have never used any sort of tender.

Hope this doesn't jinx it.......

When you do have to replace it, look for brands manufactured by East Penn Manufacturing. They are the makers of the legendary Deka batteries that Kubota used. Kubota has since OEM changed supplies and my dealer said he believes they are Interstate. For me, East Penn's batteries are heavier, last longer and have better cases than other batteries. They are not the cheapest. Just my opinion, but Interstate, Exide and Johnson Controls manufactured battery quality and lifespan have really slipped over last few years.

That's my plan. But, as far as I can tell right now, I may have to make a 40-50 mile trip to find one. I'll research it more though.

Thank You
Dan, I have had good luck with Batteries Plus if you have any in your area. I would not normally think to buy an equipment battery there but they had them in stock. And if you set up a business account, it saves you a nice chunka change.

Looks like there is a Batteries Plus near Springfield, and I go by there occasionally. I'll check them out. But I'm not planning to replace this one until it shows sign of giving up the ghost.

Thank you all.

I lurk here daily (some days twice). I just don't log in or post very often. This site provides a wealth of information and everyone is respectful. A grateful site.
