I'll let her go but this should be her last year unless she has a toddler in tow and it better be some other parents kid!
Found out the first few years we lived here, if I stay in the house, we don't get any trick-or-treaters.
So, now the neighbor and I meet at the end of my driveway. We put a sign on a sawhorse blocking his driveway with a note to come to my place. RTV is there with strobe lights on and bed filled with candy, lanterns and such. We build a fire, put out the jack-o-lanterns and chairs and just hang out waiting for people to come down the road. Oh, we live in the boondocks so we don't get any kids walking down the road as they would only be able to hit about 5 houses per hour on foot. The moms drive them from house to house.
Tonight is going to be all rain so I may have to adjust our roadside accommodations a bit.
