Don't get kids like we use to around here. Not a 1 other then my granddaughter last year. Kids stop coming around the age of 15 but had a twenty something show up 1 yr, didn't ask any questions just gave him some candy. Didn't need any trouble from him as I knew him and he has been in a lot of trouble with the law.

I always liked taking my children. Love it when they got " Milk Duds" ....
that was daddy's treat, yea !!!!!

I'll let her go but this should be her last year unless she has a toddler in tow and it better be some other parents kid!
Found out the first few years we lived here, if I stay in the house, we don't get any trick-or-treaters.
So, now the neighbor and I meet at the end of my driveway. We put a sign on a sawhorse blocking his driveway with a note to come to my place. RTV is there with strobe lights on and bed filled with candy, lanterns and such. We build a fire, put out the jack-o-lanterns and chairs and just hang out waiting for people to come down the road. Oh, we live in the boondocks so we don't get any kids walking down the road as they would only be able to hit about 5 houses per hour on foot. The moms drive them from house to house.
Tonight is going to be all rain so I may have to adjust our roadside accommodations a bit.

My 5 yr old boy calls our RTV the "great pumpkin". We couldn't do it this year and last year we had 29" of snow from sandy. But, Next Halloween we're gonna deck her out as a jacko-lantern and deliver candy to a few neighbor kids. ...the great pumpkin shall rise from the field and bring candy to all those who believe.

That reminds me of my younger days, Treehouse. When I was in high school over here in Ms, my sister's college roommate had an orange vw beetle. She made an extra large paper mache pumpkin stem and painted it green, mounted it on top of her vw and drove all over town. What crazy fun it was !!
