Thought I would share a few pics of my Hinomoto E2002.

Except for regular maintenance (fluid,filters,etc) I've not done anything to it.
Matter of fact, I've never washed it off, just blow the radiator clean after bushhogging.

The pics dont do it justice, as in some of them it looks like surface rust in several areas, when in fact it's the 'camera'.
It does have a few chips n dings, and the paint on the hood is faded (not as bad as the camera shows).

Several pics with the aerator attached (didnt feel like taking it off).

Tried to show the general view from all sides,
a few of the split oil pan with each side of oil pan having a drain plug,
(not sure why its split??)

pics of original seat with writing , i assume, from the dock it sat before containerized.

This is my 1st and only tractor, and I would like to give a special Thank You to Mark777 for all of his wisdom in the buying process!!

I know, Mark is Mr Yanmar, and rightfully so.
He did not reccommend for me to buy a particular brand/manufacturer, he advised me as to inspection of a tractor in general terms, that applies to any make.

Its also my 1st diesel, so I'm learning as I go.
At the time of my purchase, it had 633 hours, so i've logged around 30 hours in a short time, considering it hasnt been used every weekend (yes, I'm one of 'those' wanna be farmers!!! lol)

Mystery hole on the front for a PTO maybe? Starter crank? Nice clean tractor shimp.
Never seen an aerator like that before. Is it pto driven? A few closer shots of that too would be cool.

Hey Shimp, Nice tractor...and the first chance to see it from all angles.

btw, No special thanks is necessary to me (??). As I recall you had every thing suggested, from used, domestic brands to Chinese thrown at ya. All we talked about was what to look for AND YOU did all your homework. Plus, IMHO with your patience and perseverance, you got a terrific deal on a low hour machine with a history as being one of the two toughest tractors Japan ever produced (arguably Shibaura or Hinomoto). They built one helluva tractor for Massey Ferguson, Allis Chalmers and Simplicity too.

As I recall the split oil pan design was to accommodate drive line clearance for the front differential on the 4WD models. I'm not too sure what the hole in the center is for, but if it's for hand crank starting then it would take another person to operate the compression release.

Does the tractor just have the three gears or does it have a splitter as well?

I was wondering because I was looking at the gear stick pictures and it only had 1, 2, 3 and reverse. I would have thought this would be limiting but then maybe I am just used to being spoiled with 48 gears on an Autoquad in a Deere

it has 12 forward and (3 or 4 reverse).

it has (two) splitters on the 'passenger' side fender(look closely and you can you can see the 2 levers), it has like super granny/creep, low, and then high.

The hinimoto has the split gears. I think he did answer you on that. Mine (Janmar 155D) shows just the 4 gears total on the stick but has the hi/low range on the right side of the seat to give 6 forward and 2 reverse. His I think he said has 12 forward. I wish I did have a higher gear on mine so I could get a little more speed out of it when just moving from one spot to another but that could be more problamatic than not.

If I had a two wheel drive tractor, a machine shop, another tractor to use while I screwed around and tons of time on my hands ( I have none of these) I would reverse the controls and transmission so I could run it the other way. That way I could see what I was doing when mowing or whatever. I might even try to find a large FEL and stick that on backwards(BobCat style)

Back in reality, I will say there is so many options with 3pt hitches that I think you will be very happy with what you have unless you look at what the other guy has.

I would though, instead of ROPS try to find an old tractor cab and make it fit your rig...I bet it would be alot cheaper, then some of us would have cab envy.

i forgot to mention it has a 4 speed PTO, and after checking with others, the mystery hole in front is for a shaft to run perhaps a rotary broom/sweeper??
