Happy to join the 900 RTV family!

Steve.......An owner's manual is pretty thorough for getting you going on fluid changes, greasing, and hourly maintenance.........Really do get that Kubota SUPER UDT 2 for the transmission......Yes, it is expensive; but it really does make a difference for power and get up and go........The engine drives a pump......the transmission.......and that is where the power actually comes from, the transmission.......So....seems that the use of that particular fluid DOES make a difference.........

Again.....welcome aboard....I bet that you can get enough info on here to get your fluid changed until you come up with an OWNER'S manual........Yes, the shop manual is nice to have on down the road for major repairs.......God bless.....Dennis

You need to get the rubber valve on your air filter housing. It will suck in water with out it in place. It is designed to keep water out, but let water drain out if any would get in there.

Hmm interesting. I never knew that. So, my hi rise air intake came with a solid cap to replace that OEM one, sounds like it was not a good idea to replace the OEM one as the solid one will not let water out. DARN IT, I think my OEM one is long gone.

You're okay Doc, if your RTV is in that deep you'll need more than a filter drain. ha ha ha

I think it was there originally because of the odd time it would get submerged in the low position the factory puts the air filter in and this would allow water out.

You'll love down by Venice area- make sure you get to the beach and go shark tooth hunting at Casperson!
Our condo was at Indian beach (just south of Clearwater). We drove down to Sanibel (sp?) Island on Sunday then moved north to Casperson. Unfortunately, we caught it late in the day so it was high tide and we didn't find many teeth. Mostly parts of teeth as opposed to the whole ones. It was cold and late so we didn't get the full enjoyment but did get some kick-ass ribs in Venice before heading back.

Moved from that area to Orlando today. Family is at Old Town but I needed some downtime so I'm kicking back on the forum for awhile.
