I sure hope everyone had a very good thanks giving and managed to see all their family members. this was the first year our whole family didn't get together at my aunts house so it was just me the wife and our two sons their girls friends and my grand baby.i think it was the best ever because for one I didn't have to leave home and two it was the first time in a few years that we managed to get both our sons in the house at the same time.

Thanks TwoGuns and Peanut. I also hope each of you have a wonderful day with your families.
This is the first Thanksgiving without our mother since she passed away in August. We were kinda quiet Sunday during our Thanksgiving gathering.
But this year, we have my daughters fiancée and my boys girlfriends that join us. Family is getting larger!

last year my youngest son got a free turkey from the store he worked at and he wanted to cook it for his friends on my big easy cooker.i said no problem I told him to take out the little bag of goodies in the turkey then inject it and put her in the cooker. after a few hours he came inside and asked if I would go check on itbecause it still had a lot of juices coming out. so off I went to their party shed and when I looked in the cooker I burst out laughing.he done put the turkey in upside downand the whole cavity of the turkey was a boiling mess of juices. they ate it though .lol

Hey, that " BIG EASY COOKER" , is the best. Think I give something like 98.00 shipped from amazon a few years ago.
As dry as turkey can be, along with a pork roast.
The " Big Easy " cooker will cook one so good, and you will never pull any
dry meat out of it.
You can cook everything from ribs, raost, turkey, deer meat, just about anything. Trouble free cooking ....
Never seen anything like them. We own three, and have 'em rolling when we
feeding a good group of friends. As you know, down here in Louisiana, WE LOVE TO COOK, WE LOVE TO EAT !!!!

Gone But Not Forgotten
Hope everyone had a good day. I am on house arrest after going a-fib 5 times in 2 days and getting nailed by my pacemaker. Doc gave me a choice of either sitting around doing nothing at home or going inpatient in hospital. So I sat around and watched some football and taking my medicine like ordered. Should be able to ease into normal activity by Monday. We cooked up some chicken pot pies we made the other week and had some pumpkin pie. Sitting still is better than getting shocked.
I carry my cutting gas bottles in my truck along with welding lead I figure if I ever came across a old fellar layed out in cardiac arrest I can turn on the oxygen and shove the torch tip up his nose then I can hook my welding leads to his chest and crank it to wide open and zap him.it packs a good zap when even I gouge something and have to turn it wide open I make sure my feet are dry because man I done got bit a few times gouging under a boat and it ain't funny.
Oh my Muleman! You better take care of yourself. You are important to us

As LOTS of us are here today.......lol.....gone yesterday, and never actually WERE ALL here. Boy, does that apply to me. The ol 70% VA rating for PTSD sure kicks in from time to time and I forget the serenity that HE gives me if I just turn it over to HIM...........
That is what I am MOST thankful for on this holiday..........He has givin me the serenity, if and when, I just open my heart to HIM and forget the rest. IT'S HIS will.......NOT MINE.......Dennis

To bad you can't just give those symptoms to some of the folks in the "projects" as they seem to really crave doing just that...........
At least you have the quality of life that you have.........You are breathing Bud......God bless YOU and just try to do what that doc says......Perhaps, just you and the dog wander in circles a bit around the yard planning NEXT year; but NOT to do today.......God bless.....Dennis
Anyone traveling this weekend? I have over 1,000 miles to drive to get back home. My plan/intent is to do it all tomorrow (Saturday) to avoid as much Thanksgiving traffic as I can as I expect most to travel on Sunday.
I tried the Sunday after Thanksgiving to get home a couple years back and it was horrendous.
