2014 rtv-x900. Well the fuel pump finally gave up. The rtv had sat for 4 months without being started. Then it cranked good, but would not even attempt to start. I ordered a low pressure electric pump and installed it yesterday. Cranked a little bit with an injector line loosened a little to bleed the air and it started after spluttering a bit. Gotta say, one tough battery, it's original -- didn't even act like it might be low.
I could not locate any keyed wiring to plug into as some of you mention. I have temporarily ran wiring to a toggle switch for now. I will redo soon though, don't like to have to remember to turn it on or off.
I've read all the above posts, but still wonder about just leaving the original pump in place with fuel lines disconnected. I did plug the connections. For those of you who have done this, have there been any long term ill effects? Could it eventually "lock up" and cause any problems?
