<P mce_keep="true">I finally had time to look closer at the fuel cap so that I could do a drawing for Tommy20/69. </P>
<P mce_keep="true">The other thing that I discovered is that the tank threads and the cap threads are different. My 2005 tank neck hasknuckle threads (rounded profile) while the cap has regular V threads (sharp profile). No wonder these things leak and/or are hard to put on and take off. I'd appreciate it if somebody else could inspect there threads when they get a chance. </P>
<P mce_keep="true">I have inquired about getting an extra cap gasket but the parts departments haven't gotten back to me yet. I wonder if it's a listed part? </P>

That's great. Isn't nothing worst than having liquid gold thrown on the ground. Think you might have found the " true fix " of everybodys problem !!!!!</P>
Talking about fuel prices, buddy of mine yesterday had to purchase 2550 gallons of fuel for his trucking outfit, @ $ 4.13 bulk price. He said that's the only way he can buy it now, for they are wanting so much more at truck stops . Sounds like a lot of fuel, but when your running close to 13-17 trucks at one time, it don't go that far !!!!</P>

I've got so much royalty money from our"fuel cap tank fix idea" that I'm about ready to pick up that new RTV 1100 I've had my eye on. LOL When pigs fly...........! But maybe one day. But hey.... I'm glad the other forum contributors aren't charging for their ideas either. I'm already in their debt.</P>

Thanks for reminding me, I bet that's what is happening to all my royalty checks, that other site that I've been getting all the good ideas to modify my tractor has been intercepting my checks, hadn't thought of that. I guess I'm still way ahead though cause I've got a ton of ideas from over there.[Y]</p>

Just be careful... I haven't been there in awhile but one of the reasons I left was due to bad/unsafe advise and dangerous modifications. I won't mention moderation was another reason...
